The new prompt is:
Write a story or poem about an imaginary creature that lives someplace in your house.
Not Me's
It is a very fine mess, my house
possessed by multitudes of creatures that reside within
One prefers to stack clutter to the ceiling
Another prefers dirty laundry piled in every cornor
While the Not Me's collectively dirty plates for every morsel they never ate
Having thought once or twice to have witnessed these culprits,
I am always rebuffed with it was Not Me!
Why is it these creatures never find time to rest from
Making my house such a fine mess
Never once has the Not Me's taken out the trash
Or feel the need to dust
Or find the time to make a bed
Or have the desire to clean the shed
The Not Me's are sly, stealth creatures of my house
Though I have heard Mother's everywhere exclaim their existence Not Me's reside as invisible persistent tennets
Having only one evident single trait Not Me's only take up permanent residence
Where mothers live during child rearing years
