| Name: Lily Ann Evans (nobody knows her middle name.) Age: 16 (Everyone is in their 6th year. Thats when Snape discovers where Remus is because of Sirius and James saves him. It may change Lily's mind about him.  )Personality: May act like she's perfect but really she isnt. People who act arrogant bring out her temper. Usually sweet and sticks up for people, even if they call her a mudblood. May mistake her true feelings for hatred or anger. Its easy for her to get caught up in her school work to. Her friends help her to have fun though. Appearance: Gorgeous. Shiny, silky, straight, red hair extending a little past her shoulders. Most beautiful eyes anyone could ever see. Deep green they easily reflect her feelings. Light skin color and almost fragile looking. But shes not. Slim and curvy in all the right places. Just because he's rich, handsome, popular, powerful, intelligent, and a large troublemaker does not give him the right to attack students in the halls, and pick on Snape, even if Snape and Malfoy do call her a mudblood every chance they gets. (Every character has something to hide. Animagus, werewolf...etc.) Lily Another year at Hogwarts was to begin. I pushed my way through the crowd of people at Kings Cross station. I noticed a familiar face. Dark messy hair and beautiful brown eyes. I avoided that directiong and found the barrier between platforms 9 and 10. Pushing my trolley cart I rushed through the barrier and stopped. It was always so strange and amazing to walk through a wall and appear in front of a scarlet train. The Hogwarts Express. I found a compartment and shoved my things inside hastily. I got off the train and searched for my friends. "Lily!" I heard a shout. "Hotaru! Faith!" I rushed over to them. "It feels like its been forever." "It has." Hotaru laughed. "To bad we couldnt come visit you..." Faith said with a smirk. "I'd show that sister a thing or two about freaks." She smiled and waved her wand around. We werent allowed to use magic over the summer but that never stopped Faith. She was suspended only once which for her was a real accomplishment. She only crossed the line just enough to have fun. Never so much that she'd be expelled. "Lets go get settled for the long ride." Hotaru said taking her things and following me to our compartment. We sat down discussing our summer. Mine was always so boring especially with Petunia. There was a harsh knock on the door and then it slid open revealing Lucius Malfoy and Severus Snape. "Great..." I muttered. "What was that mudblood?" Malfoy spat. "Get out." I said. "No. I think you should. This is our compartment now." Snape laughed. I rolled my eyes and Faith clenched her fists. She had made a promise to Dumbledore. This year she would not harm a student with any violence or hexes of any kind unless deadly important. Hotaru stared at the two with an amused expression. To her it was all very funny. They could never be a match for the three of us. They were so full of themselves. I stood up. "Get out Malfoy, Snape. Or else." I said. They glanced at my prefect badge then left. To bad I couldnt take off points. I was only a prefect. Hotaru giggled once they were gone. "Pathetic." Faith muttered. Another knock on the door. Couldnt we just be left alone? In walked Sirius Black, Peter Pettigrew, Remus Lupin, and the very handsome James Potter. Of course, I'd never let him know I thought that. He's to arrogant. If he asks me out again I'll kill him. They all smiled and Pettigrew had a strange look about him. Like he knew something evilly funny. Hotaru was glancing at Remus, maybe she liked him. Faith was watching Sirius with no emotion but I could tell she was bracing herself for a trick or something. She smiled to herself. |
| Name: Hotaru Moana Deluna Age: sixteen Personality: Mischievious in her own right. Prefers messing with peoples heads over actually pullin pranks on them. Studious, but knows how to have fun. Has very interesting opinions and likes to talk in riddles. Finds something funny about every sitiuation. Likes to read A LOT. Bad temper, but not as bad as Lily's. Likes to find spells that mess people's hair up, and test them on Lucius. Kind of weird, She is a very very good judge of character. Appearance: Jet black hair that is never the same for long. Cut with bangs to just above her shoulders and perfectly strait at the moment. Sparkly blue green eyes that look like the ocean at sunset. Has a glowy very very pale complexion that reminds a lot of people of moonbeams. Tall, and delicate looking. Reminds some people of a non-traditional porcelein doll. Opinion on Remus: She thinks he's adorable pretty much. Will not tell anyone this though. Thinks he's smart, but maybe a little bit too quiet. Hotaru I sat there, looking around every so often and twirling my wand around my fingers boredly. I was getting an odd vibe from Pettigrew, and I didn't like it one bit. I shivered slightly and sneezed. It was really cold in here..I couldn't put my finger on why. I dug the black shawl that I was obsessed with out of my bag and wrapped it around myself tightly. "Ever think you might overdo the whole black thing, Deluna?" James asked with an amused expression. I glanced at my dress, which had long sleeves with a short black pleated skirt. I was also wearing the black shawl, and my hair was naturally black. "No." I said with a little smile on my face. "Why?" He asked, almost looking confused. "Because I'm mourning my generation Potter. There are too many of them that act like you." I said jokingly. Sirius looked like he was trying not to laugh, so did Remus. Remus' eyes were laughing though. Lily had a look on her face that said 'ha ha'. "Ha ha, very funny." He said after a minute. I shrugged and got a book out of my bag, and started reading it rather quickly. I was getting really bored, I had read it already. Remus and I both put our books down at the same time. "Have you two finished reading every book in the blasted Library yet?" Sirius asked with an amused expression on his face. "Not quite. I only have a few more to go." I said "You should try reading some time Black, I hear it reverses brain shrinkage." Sirius tried to think of something to say but couldn't, and Peter was giving him an amazed expression. I shrugged and tried to find a book I hadn't read that summer. "Nothing new here." James said with a smile and the group left to terrorize some other part of the neighboorhood. |
| Name: Sirius Black Age:16 Personality: Sirius is a reflection of his best friend James. Easy-going, fun, not great when it comes to studying, but always looking for an adventure. He has a restless spirit and an indominable attitude. Appearance: Dark black hair, and similarly dark colored eyes. His skin is not pale, but not tanned either. He's slender but being a beater gives him some definition. Opinion on Lily: He likes Lily and would definitely try to take the chance to get with her, but James likes her as well and so how could he betray that? Opinion on Faith: She's a nice girl. Sirius thinks he could hvae a fun time with her but wonders how long they would last in the end. Sirius "I don't see why we bother trying to impress them James." I commented after leaving their compartment. Remus nodded his agreement, but said nothing. James did not reply either for a moment, but soon looked at me as we found another compartment that had not been taken. "It'll be worth it someday." was all James said to me. I generally agree with my best friend but for once I had my doubts. I looked at Remus, who seemed more silent than usual. "It's a full moon tomorrow night..." Remus said almost to himself. |

| Name: Faith Sloom Age:16 Personality: Faith is really defiant of authroity figures that are well real pains. She may use magic once (cough) or twice over the summer. She does really well in school and wont let anyone copy of a test. Her vocab can uhhh be a bit wide(if ya know what I mean). She cant resist proving that someone else is wrong and is typically (key word there) nice to everyone. Appearance: Dark brown hair that parts on the right giving her bangs that go to her left. Her hair is short and has a natural small flip(out) to it. She has long legs and hazel eyes. Sometimes she sometimes (50/50) puts her hair up in low pig tails put keeps the onesided bangs. Opinion on Sirius: She thinks hes a big-rich (assuming hes rich on the tyoe of place he use to live in. At least wealthy.) snobby-show-off brat. She does have slight feelings for him but thier all subcouncious (for now). He can be nice though at times. "You know Lily if that Potter didnt like you so much he wouldnt come around here." | Name: Remus Lupin Age: 16 Personality: Quiet. Speaks very little but uses Minimilistic sentances. Likes chocolate. Sticks to the rules alot. Finds it hard to talk around Hotaru. Likes to read alot. Kind of timid. Wishes he was a normal wizard and not a werewolf. Appearance: Pair of jeans and a t-shirt with a black short sleeved shirt over it. Normal robes neatly combed hair. Usualy a book or something tucked under his arm. Tired expression on his face every now and then (A week before a full moon and a few days after a full moon). | Potter...evertime I saw him it was like something inside me wanted to run at him and push him over. He was, in everyone else's oppinion, perfect. He annoyed me to no end. Today, in the compartment I thought he was a little different. Ok more than a little. It was strange. While the trained slowed to a stop I glanced at the compartment door window. Snape had his face pressed against the glass staring at....Faith. There was no way. Maybe he just hated her or something. Of course I believe he hates Potter the most than maybe me but only because I am muggle born. We all stepped out as soon as Snape's face was gone and found a horsless carrage. I wondered how they worked when Faith spoke up. "Lily, do you think you'll make head girl? I'm sure Lupin would end up being head boy. Everyone knows that." "I doubt it. Remember that day last year where I simply had to get back at Potter and got a weeks worth of detentions with McGonagall? Dont tell Potter but I kind of liked it." "Really? What do you say we pull something like that...without getting caught?" Faith said as Hotaru snorted. "I'm a prefect..." I said not answering the question. I wanted to do it and Faith knew I did. |
| Hotaru I only sighed and rolled my eyes. "Baka otoko no ko..." I said, pretty much to myself. "You're not going to start speaking Japanese again, are you Hotaru?" Lily asked. "Not really..I just felt the need to say stupid boys in another language.". "That's always great..." Said Faith. "Isn't it though..." I sighed. I was really bored..and really hungry. I had been tired for the past month, I remembered I had nearly passed out from running up the stairs in my house. I couldn't figure out what was wrong with me. Faith and Lily were looking at me oddly. "What?" I asked. "You looked a little..odd..is all." Lily said, looking around. I shrugged as we stopped outside the castle. Thunder was rumbling overhead, and a wind was stirring. I sighed and looked up at the moon, nearly full, and got an odd feeling of foreboding. Like something bad was going to happen, even if I couldn't put my finger on what. |
Sirius We were piled into the carriages that would take us to Hogwarts' Castle. Remus and James were going to take care of things for tomorrow night apparently, but of course they would need some help getting into the Whomping Willow. I just hoped things went well. "I have a feeling this year will be an interesting one." James said conversationally. "Why is that?" I questioned, wondering if he was planning on getting in more trouble as usual. Or whether he was considering some elaborate plan to impress Lily. "I don't know, just a feeling." James said unsurely. I quirked an eyebrow in Remus' direction who grinned slightly amused as well. "Well, I guess it won't be long before we're in our dorms," Remus said,"Let's enjoy the last night we have of no homework." "For once I can agree with you on what you have to say about homework!" James exclaimed. |
| The carrage stoped and everyone got out. As they wear going up the staris Harrry noticed Lily wasn't to far ahead of him. "Ha Rumes" Harry said "Ya" "I was thinking that we could go a little earlyer tomorrrow" "Why" "I don't know just fells like we should go earlyer thats all" |

"Hey if Lily hadn't knocked Potter down than maybe he wouldnt have told on me." I said smiling at Lily. "Hey not my fault hes a weasel." She said. "Maybe your slipping Faith." Hotaru teased. "No. No. No. No and No." I said jabbing her in the ribs. "Uh oh Lily dont look now." Hotaru said. |

When they got closer Remus had praticly stopped making any noise. It was almost as if he feared making any noise around Hotaru. Sirius knudded him in the back to get him talking. | I looked at Snape. A flashback occured to me suddenly. The reason I didnt like Snape very much. *FLASHBACK* (Part from 5th HP book) I was furious but I almost let the small part of me that was a mused show. "Let him down!" "Certainly," said James and he jerked his wand upwards. Snape fell into a crumpled heap on the ground. Disentangling himself from his robes, he quickly got to his feet, wand up, but Sirius said, "Locomotor mortis!" and Snape keeled over again at once. "LEAVE HIM ALONE!" i shouted. I had my wand out now. James and Sirius eyed it warily. "Ah, Evans, dont make me hex you," said James earnestly. "Take the curse off him, then!" James sighed deeply, then turned to Snape and muttered to counter curse. "There you go," He said, as Snape struggled to his feet again, "you're lucky Evans was here Snivellus-" "I dont need help from filthy little mudbloods like her!" He said. *END FLASHBACK* That word! Oh I hated it. No one knew how much, everytime I was called that, mostly by Snape or Malfoy but still....I looked at Snape confused. He wanted to talk to Faith. Faith had her eyebrows up in confusion and almost curiousness. I looked at her clearly expressing my oppinion thorugh facial expressions. "I dont know about this..." I whispered. "Me neither. Cover me ok?" Faith asked. "Sure but are you really going to...to...?" I asked not being able to think of all the hex and dark spells Snape knew that he could use on Faith. I stepped up to Snape. "Dont try anything Snape. Nothing." I said with a clear expression. |
| I sighed and smiled sweetly at Remus. He really was adorable. "My summer was fine." I said with a smile, before I noticed Lily not looking to happy. "Whatever m..." Snape started to say the m word, but I glared daggers at him, as did Faith. |
| I sighed and I walked with Snape to less than 50 feet from where everyone was standing. I shot Lily and Hotaru a 'dont let him kill me' glance. "Ok Severus." I said trying to be as nice as possible and believe you me that was tough. "Well.." he started looking at his feet. |

| Lily I sighed glancing around the room. The maruaders were all nearly asleep. Or so it seemed, you could never tell with them. My eyes lingered on James-I mean Potter. I did admit to myself that he was hot. He was so goodlooking it was almost unfair. I felt irritation rise up within myself. THIS IS POTTER! I cant believe I'm thinking about this. The history of magic teacher, Professor Rynold tapped her desk and stood up slowly. She was strict and I know she has a thing against me. She hates me. "Ok partners for the projects you will be completing." She shrieked. "Potter, Evans, and Black." I let my head fall to the table. This may be a little more difficult than I expected. This proved it, she hates me. "Lupin, Sloom, and Deluna." I glared at my two friends. They got Lupin, he was one of my friends and much easier to work with than Potter and Sirius. I moved next to the both of them quickly hoping they wouldnt try anything. To my suprise they didnt. I smiled slightly and we began. So far so good. They were acting very...civil. |
| I sat around, doing nothing but jotting some notes down on some parchment. Remus was watching me out of the corner of his eyes, and Faith was staring at me because I wasn't even looking at a book and was writing so fast. I looked up and met Remus' eyes for a moment. I blushed and looked away quickly with a smile. |
Sirius James was quiet and I could tell it was because he was distracted. By what, glancing at Malfoy, I could only guess. My attention was into the project we were suppposed to be focusing on, besides it would give Lily and James a chance to talk. I leaned back in my chair and reached around Lily to backhand James on his head. Lily of course noticed I reached behind her, but she did not notice me hitting him. James snapped back to attention as I got back to writing. Lily glanced at me suspiciously, she knew I was his best friend and of course she was not ready to trust me based on that alone. The fact I went along with James and the antics we so enjoyed did not help me either. "You don't seem to be enjoying yourself." I pointed out in a low tone to Lily. She glanced at me from the corner of her eye for a moment, lifting her quill to pause in her writing. "Well, we are supposed to be doing work...you know, that thing we're here for?" Lily snubbed me and quite tritely I might add. I wondered why she was so "icky" sometimes. Did she like James that much to where she had to hate him so it could cancel out and not only him, the rest of us too? Well, maybe not the bookworm of the group, but his best friend was an easy target. She'd lick Snape's feet and cuddle Malfoy before she admitted liking Potter, but oh, I knew. "It's too bad you ended up with us then? It's all about good times here." I said in a slightly mischevious voice as an idea came to mind. "But don't worry, I can help you if you want to really study sometime." James said. I rolled my eyes thinking Real smooth... "Why'd Rynolds set me up for this? She hates me I swear..." Lily muttered under her breath but I caught it. James leaned closer trying to listen better but Lily said nothing more. "Diffindo" I whispered my poked out from beneath my sleeves in the direction of Rynolds. She was bending over to pick up a piece of parchment when the back of her robes split wide open. Rynolds gave a cry of dismay and turned red in the face to face us all. I ducked my head and looked like I was writing the entire time. I barely glanced when she searched for the culprit, she was too mad to even demand to know who did it. Lily stared in horror at Rynolds. "YOU!" She accussed suddenly. Ms. Rynolds stormed up to Lily, her robes billowing around her, she tapped the back of her robes once and the threads closed together seamlessly. "But I - No!" Lily tried to sputter looking at me and then to James, wondering which one of us pulled the stunt. "Detention." Was the only other word Rynolds said, I was amazed she did not take any points away, but relieved at the same time. Perhaps Lily would have some time to think about things tonight. Perhaps I could convince James to do some late night visitation while she was there, it could be fun. I had an idea to get those two a little closer. |
| Faith I sat there laughing and covering my mouth with my hands. Lily looked at me and glared. I mouthed a 'not my fault'. She sighed and continued on with her work. " Did you see that?" I said nudging Hotaru. "Wha Huh?" she said snapping out of it. "Crazy girl. Never mind." I said shaking my head realizing what she was concetrating on. |

If they told each other that they liked each other it would be alot easyer on the rest of us "sighed Remus getting back to his work. "You realy are complicated "laughed Faith. | I walked out of the classroom a bit more late than everyone else. I came upon Malfoy's unconscious form. Normally I would seek out who had done such a thing and punish them but I'm sure that whatever happened to Malfoy he did not need a prefect "mudblood" to help him. I walked off leaving him behind and walking to Green House 3 where must of the dangerous plants were. Professor Grande introduced the plant we would be trimming. He held it up for all of us to see. It was a thin and squirming plant. Its vines were slowly working their way up his arm toward his neck. "Today will be very dangerous. Make sure you wear your dragon hide gloves and dont let the vines reach your neck. These plants are in the same family as Devils Snare so watch out for them and take your eyes away for a second. Use the fire spell to cut off each vine an inch away from the stem. Take the cut vines and stack them in that box over there. They will be used to heal scars and burns so dont let the sap touch yoru skin just yet." We each recieved a plant and began to trim their vines. Everyone was in a tangled mess. Sirius and Potter seemed to be having a lot of fun with their plants and Remus was easily making sure the vines didnt reach him while talking to Hotaru. I glances at my plant which was winding its way up my arms toward my neck. I held my wand to it to use the fire spell to slice off the vines. Before I could there was a muffled shout. "Help!" Peter Pettigrew shrieked as the vines found their way around his neck and almost to the top of his head. I could see only his small eyes that danced with panic. My plant began to grow rapidly and cover my neck. I would not let a plant get the better of me. It was, after all, just a plant. I pointed my wand at the vines once again and muttered the spell a few times until only dead vines were left. "Fiorai!" I muttered and the last vine fell to the ground. I collected them and put them in the bin just barely overhearing a conversation between Black and Potter. "Full moon's next week. Should be fun." Sirius whispered. "Every full moon is fun Padfoot." James said. "Not as fun as seeing Evan's face after her detention tonight." Sirius smirked. I stormed off. What did they do during the full moon? Probably something I did not need to know about, something really stupid. Sirius did it. It was all his fault. I'm sure Potter had something to do with it also. He must've. Suddenly the idea formed in my head. A way to make Potter stop asking me out, a way to see if he really did like me for just me. I would do it after detention tonight. That is, if I had the guts. ******* I showed up for detention a few minuted late but Rynolds didnt seem to care. She smirked with more evil than I had ever seen. "You'll be making your way to the Forbidden Forest Miss Evans." She smirked more. "But....we arent allowed." I said with fear. "For your punishment it is. You will keep your wand out at all times as a precaution. You will look for these ingredients only found in the Forbidden Forest. As soon as you are done return to my room to write lines then you will be free to go." I didnt argue with her. I knew she'd make it worse otherwise. I found the plants quickly and shakily with only running into a few large spiders and some strange noises. After writing lines with Rynolds for another hour I realized that my time was up. It had been 3 hours and I was free to go. "You must learn your lesson and do not try to blame it on other people." She said. "I didnt say anyone else did it." I muttered and walked out the door before she could punish me. I turned the next corner in the corridor to come face to face with James Potter and Sirius Black. Sirius had a great smirk on his face and James had a small smile, not his usual arrogant one. "What do you two want?" I asked in a tired voice. |
| Hotaru I was walking around outside, by myself. I looked around, glad no one was around. Everyone needed some alone time. There was a little noise, and I turned around. Nothing was there, not anything visible. I continued sitting there, but then I turned around to find Lucius Malfoy. He was kind of teetering around like he was drunk. He smirked and looked at me funny. "I know you're not human Deluna.." He laughed, before teetering around some more, and falling into the lake. I sighed, not believing I was actually going to pull him out of the lake. I let him lie there, face first on the ground. He sat up and stared at me, more like glared. "You're a freak..and everyone will find out you aren't human." He smirked, before passing out. I gave him a disgusted look, turned, and walked away. He wasn't lying, I had to admit. I couldn't tell anyone, or it would be the end of me. I don't even know if Lily and Karen knew. I shook my head and got up, going back into the castle. I walked up the umpteen flights of stairs to the Gryffindor tower. I wasn't paying attention, and I ran strait into Sirius, James, Peter, and Remus. Peter jumped about twelve feet into the air and screamed like a little girl. Sirius rolled his eyes, giving Pettigrew a look of contempt that nearly made me laugh. I gave them all a look that could basically be translated into 'I don't even want to know, do I?' and walked into the common room. I sighed and sat down in the common room in front of the fire. I fell slowly asleep, and woke up when I heard the four of them. James, Sirius, and Remus were all standing at the base of the stairs to the boys dormitory. "Maybe we could get her to admit she likes you if we got you two alone in the Library for the project or something..." Sirius said. "Brilliant...it could work." James smiled. "You four are bigger fools than I took you for." I said. The four of them nearly fell over. |
Sirius Hotaru had heard us talking about Lily, and it was going to take all we had to convince her not to say anything to Lily. Eventually I decided Remus and Pettigrew should stay behind and try and talk her out of it. Lily's detention was almost over. Once we were outside in the corridors we rounded a corner only to find Lily. How...perfect. It was up to James now. I wasn't going to say much, or at least try not to. "What do you two want?" Lily demanded. I cocked my head at James, he had better not mess his chance up. |
| Faith I walked down the hallway hearing the sound of faint rushed voices. Following it I turned the corner and saw Hotaru, Remus and Pettigrew all talking together. "Hey whats up?" I said looking at Hotaru and diverting my eyes away from Pettigrew. She looked at Pettigrew and Remus....then Remus again and said "Nothing." "Ok." I said walking off as the all began to jabber all over again. "Lilys gonna be getting out of detention soon." I said thoughtfully. "Better go see what sees up to." I said nodding my head. |
| "Hotaru please. It'll be easyer in the long run. Who knows if it works we may all get a rest from trying to stop them killing each other. | “Potter….I….this is so….sweet. You didn’t have to.” I stuttered. He chuckled softly and leaned against the wall looking me over. He was searching my expressions. I couldn’t hide my amazement. He seemed absolutely wonderful. No, Potter had no changed. He couldn’t. Was it possible? I couldnt change my plan. I wouldnt. I WOULD ask SIRIUS BLACK to Hogsmede. On a date. The thought made me almost cringe. He was nice and cute and all around a great guy looking passed all the trouble making. If he agreed then I would explain to him my problem. I would not give in to James bloody Potter so easily. "Call me James....Lily." He said. "First name basis then? Well...I suppose. I...I...if you want...I wouldnt mind us stopping our fights once and a while and...being friends." I said slowly. "Excellent." He smiled his melting smile. He had a great smile. Best I'd ever seen. His comment sort of made me feel like I was giving in. I had to keep my cover up. "That doesnt mean anything else Potter-I-mean-James." I said shaking my head. I liked the sound of his name. It was so different though. What could I possibly have gotten myself into? We talked late into the night. About many things. We caught up on each other's history and i discovered very interesting information. Sirius Black was living with James Potter. Sirius refused to be like his family. |
| Hotaru "Sure, Remus." I smiled quietly, twisting a piece of my hair into a knot with my fingers. Remus smiled quietly, and we both walked back into the common room, leaving Peter back there. He had dissapeared when I turned my head, so I shrugged and continued on my way to the common room. Remus and I sat down next to each other and talked quietly for a while longer. I smiled softly at him, and looked into his eyes for a moment when I heard something. Apparently we both heard it. |
| (The dumbest thing happened and I had this great addition all ready but it got erased, so sorry if this one seems rushed, I can't build up the motivation to do it in that much detail twice.) Sirius The next morning I woke up to find the sunlight pouring into the boys dorm room from the window panes overhead. It felt warm and I could tell by this instant alone that it would be a good day. I glanced over to find James fast asleep still. It was not that late in the day apparently. Last night I had waited for him until about an hour later, and that is when I started getting worried about getting caught and hurried off to bed. I figured he would be telling me about it later, especially since he did not get kicked out within the first ten minutes. I could only imagine what they talked about for the moment, but it was most likely about him dating her. I would not be surprised if Lily even said she liked him finally. That was the intent after all, but what did I know. Lily and James acted weird when around one another sometimes. I did advise him to go snooping for information though, perhaps what he found out would come in handy in the end? I slipped out of the bed and pulled on my robes. I stretched languidly as I stood there basking in the dawn light. It was definitely a nice day. The beds filled with bodies snuggled up against the pillows just beneath the surface told me that others seemed more content in the darkness of their gentle dreams. It was still early, breakfast had probably just begun. A few empty beds gave silent testimony to the few of us early risers that still existed. I grabbed my wand and made my way down the spiraling staircase. Yet as I made it half way down the stairs, a few voices came to me from the lower end causing me to slow at first and then stop altogether. "Why would you ask him though?" the first person said. It was a females voice, I had to wonder for a second who it belonged to but then I recognized her, Hotaru! "I already told you about this. He is so much better..." This was Lily. She must have been talking about James! It had worked, she was going to ask him out. I wondered who this other guy they were talking about was, sounded like Lily wanted to go out with him at first and of course he probably wanted to go out with her too. Maybe he asked her and she was going to give him an answer today? "Aren't he and James friends though?" Faith interjected, I could pick out her voice instantly. I wondered why they were standing at the end of the boys' staircase unless they were planning to go up and ask the James out. "Yeah, but-" Lily began. "And didn't you have a great time last night?" Hotaru added. Lily must have told them everything. On top of that I suddenly realized she was not asking James, she was asking someone else. I leaned in closer to find out who it was. James would be furious if he found out. On top of that he would want to jinx them right away. Of course I would be there to jinx them too. "Guys, you're missing the point. When have you been on Potter's side anyway I-" "Morning Sirius." Peter's voice was increased almost like he used the sonorous charm as he yawned. I wanted to strangle him! Footsteps could be heard rushing away from the staircase. I sighed turning to go back up the stairs and wake James. I would not be telling James about this, he did not need to over react. I would say it later...much later, maybe when I figured out who Lily wanted to ask. I would not say I heard the conversation though. It'd be hard unless the guy bragged to me he got asked by her, but if he was a friend of Harry's no doubt he would confide in me, Harry's Bestfriend, about this...unless he never wanted Harry to know. Ah! I was starting to think too much. "Good morning." I said to Peter as I walked up the stairs pensively. Today was still going to be a good day...wasn't it? |
Faith I slammed the door behind Lily, Hotaru and I as we rushed into the girls dorm. "Oh My God. I wonder if he knows now." Hotaru said once I'd locked the door. "He couldnt have been standing there that long...right?" Lily said. "Come on, Black isnt that smart to figure it out." I said. They looked at me like they werent sure. "So Lily when do you plan on asking him anyway?" I asked. "I dont know but our little plan has to work." She said wringing her hands. |
| Remus was up fairly early because of sirius's snoring. He was sitting in the common room with his fluffy bunny slippers on and was being hidden from view by a large pile of books and work he hadn't done the previous night. After a few hours of work he fell asleep with his head on a large herboligy book. He wasn't sure how long he had been asleep but he was woken up by Hotaru checking on him. "What time is it? "he asked her rubbing his eyes and sitting up? "Umm it's 11:30am "she said looking at her watch. "I really was tired afterall I guess "sighed Remus he knew it was only one more day till the first full-moon. "Why did you sleep down here anyway? "she asked him sitting in the chair next to him? "Sirius was snoring again. I swear he has been getting louder for the last week "he said also knowing the reason for that aswell. |
| I felt aweful. No words could describe my feelings acurately. It was as if my heart had been riped out, dropped, shredded, and scattered all over the place. I didnt feel worthy to enter teh Gryffindor Common Room. I couldnt. I stopped at the portrait. When a familiar figure stopped me. "Sirius?" I asked softly. "Lil why did you-" He started. "He doesnt care anyway. Probably just angry because I'm the only bloody girl who wont go with him." I muttered. "Lily- thats not true." Sirius stated. "I know James and he-" "I dont want to here it. Yes, I know James is...practically perfect save his arrogance. I wont have anything to do with...I dont want to...I cant...I wont..." I couldnt continue. I slumped against the wall covering my face with my hands. He seemed upset? Because of me? Surely not. Because I was the challenge he lost. "I dont want to get hurt, Sirius..." I looked at my shoes avoiding his eyes. "I dont...I wont let him." Sirius sat down beside me and looked into my eyes. He knew something I didnt. Something I must not have understood. "James could never keep a girl." Sirius started. "We always thought it had something to do with James getting bored with the girls. But you know. I dont think thats right. I think his affection was already taken and he couldnt spare more for someone else." I leaned my head against his shoulder and stood up feeling a bit better around him. I headed into the common room Sirius did not follow. On the couch was Hotaru...hugging James Potter. Funny how quickly the boy could recover. I couldnt see his face. I clenched my fists and kept my mouth shut. I slowly shut my eyes and bit my lip before turning around and leaving. Sirius was still standing outside the portrait. I walked over to him with a pleading look. "Sirius. Will you go somewhere with me. Anywhere. Hogsmede, school ground, hell even the forbidden forest? Please?" I was asking for a date and he knew it. "What about James, Lil?" He asked concerned. "He's fine...with Hotaru." I said a little reserved. "Never thought she would go for him though." "What? You're kidding!" He said. "Not at all." I said giving him a pleading look. "I guess...if you want...I'd love to...if you are alright with it." He said very quickly. "Perfectly." I said and I thought angrily in my head: I HATE JAMES POTTER! I hate him. "Not tomorrow though...er...how about...some other time." He said with a strange look. He was hiding something. Something I wanted to find out. Something I could put my mind to. (A/N: Interesting. Very interesting. Anyway I wanted to just wanted to say that this whole bit cant be perfectly fixed until the 7th year. Like what the 5th book said. Lily and James never went out until 7th year. The rest of you guys can have your characters date if you'd like. I would like them back on speaking terms before the end of the year if thats alright. | (jet...lag...I hate it. I woke up at five this morning...*hits head on wall*) I hugged James, trying to get him to calm down. We had know each other since we were...well born. I at least knew how to calm him down. Learned that when I was about three. Threaten his pride. "James...stop your blubbering before one of the slytherin quidditch players sees you. Don't want them to think you've lost your nerve now do you?" I smiled and looked at him. "Not really." He stuttered and took off his glasses and wiped them off on his shirt. I smiled and patted him on the head before walking into the Gryffindor common room. Lily was talking to Remus before she left. "Hello Remus." I smiled. He looked at me oddly. "Never figured you for they type that would go after someone your best friend was in love with." Remus sighed, glaring at me slightly. "Remus..I would never..what are you talking about?" I looked at him pleadingly. "YOu...James..Lily told me the whole thing." He said, sounding so hurt that I wanted to cry. "Oh..that..Remus I." "You..don't have to explain a thing!" He shouted, tears in his eyes. "I thought...that..just forget it! I thought I knew you..I thought..I thought..how could I have been so thick. Well, you can have him Hotaru Deluna. I should've known you would never....could never.." I only stood there looking at him. He glared at me in a way that made my heart break and breezed past me. I felt so cold...so..so..cold. I felt my eyes water up with tears and I collapsed to the ground in tears, feeling weaker and weaker until I felt my conciousness slip away. |
| (Oh my....isn't this campfire turning into a big pot o' drama?) So it was on then. Sometime Lily and I would go out together on a date. I did not understand what had happened in the short second she walked away. Yet, at the same time I was not sure I wanted to know either. James, when will things be the way they were? When will they be simple again? (Sorry I didn't do anything to the plot...seems more like the others have stuff to sort out now. I'll wait till when Remus turns into a wolf for a better one.) |

| Storming out of the castle Remus headed to the side of the lake. He wandered around it's edge stopping on the easten side of the lake. Picking up a handful of stones he threw them one at a time. He was there for atleast and hour before Sirius came up next to him and was quiet for a little while. "Bin looking for you "sighed Sirius. "Well you found me "sighed Remus. "I heard you lost your rag with Hotaru prity bad earlyer. Want to talk about it? "asked Sirius throwing a few stones into the lake himself. "No "Remus said sternly. "Hey calm down. I'm your best friend remember "said Sirius with a laugh. "Ye'r like james is...or was "sighed Remus looking at Sirius. "What's going on with you? Sleeping in the common room, shouting at Hotaru and missing a class. What exactly has James done? "asked Sirius? "She want's him and not me. James's infalible skill of getting a girl has worked again. It's over he won I lost "said Remus getting mad again. "Huh...what....come again? Hotaru doesn't like him that way. She think's he's a idiot. Come on let's go back to the coomon room. It's getting late and it looks like it's going to rain "said Sirius grabbing his shoulder and leading him back to the common room. He stopped at the base of the stairs to the boys dorm. "I've messed things up alot haven't I? "asked Remus? "You really hurt her feelings. But she's like you bounces back from things easly. You coming up? "smiled Sirius. "Only if you promise not to snore I'm getting more sensitive to sound again "Smiled Remus. "James wouldn't go for Hotaru anyway. He knows you like her. He's not that shallow. Well he is shallow but he wouldn't do that "laughed Sirius. Little did they know somebody was listening to them from the stairs of the girls dorm. |
| I sat by the lake with James concealing any emotion I had effortlessly. It was continually getting harder with every word he spoke. I had caused him so much pain and sorrow. Recalling everything that happened I suddenly realized something and stoped him. "Oh my god. I'm a total bitch." I muttered bringing my knees up and pushing my face down with my arms around my head. "What!?" James asked, confused. "I am. What have I done?! Oh...I am so sorry James I am...I just. I dont know what is wrong with me. I have no idea but I..." James stared at me blankly. Yep, I let it all rush out. "I...next time I get all...like this punch me or hex me or something! I guess I got to wrapped up in it all. I...just...I dont know. What you did was the sweetest thing ever and I turned on you for it." I said. "Well-" I cut James off again. "Can you ever forgive me? Can we be...friends...instead of enemies?" I asked him pathetically raising my head to look in his chocolate eyes. (sorry its not very long. I'll try to make it long next time but its late and I'm tired.) |
| Hotaru I was leaning against a wall in the seventh floor cooridor, waiting for Remus to come back. I looked up at the moon and noticed it was nearly full, it would be the next night. I noticed Remus walking back towards the portrait at the far end of the hall. "Remus." He stopped and looked around warily. Sirius shrugged, gave the password, and went into the common room. I came out from the shadows and Remus saw me. He started to say something, but I had already started. "Listen..I don't know what Lily told you, but there is absolutely nothing between me and James romantically speaking. I was just trying to calm him down. He took what she said pretty hard." I was blabbering, no doubt about it. He stood there with a little smile on his face. "Don't worry about it Hotaru." He smiled. I couldn't help but smile back. I shook my head and laughed. "What kind of a mess is this world coming to?" I sighed. "No one knows." He replied as we both went through the portrait hole and into the common room. We sat in front of the fire talking about Lily and James, and other things. After a while though, we were both obviously ready to go to sleep. I smiled at him and walked over to him. "What?" He asked. I said nothing, but leaned down and kissed him on the cheek. "Goodnight Remus." I smiled before going upstairs. |
| It seemed like all time had stopped. I did not know what to say. On the one hand Snape was mean and he hated Lily because she was muggle born. On the other hand Snape had been a lot nicer and seemed to change. Even being nicer to Lily. I was shcoked I didnt even know Snape liked me in that way. I began to think of what everyone else would tell me. Lily would say even hough he was mean and rude to her that he had seemed to change and I should give him a chance. Hotaru would say that she completely agreed with Lily. James's jaw would dropand hed mutter a few in audiable words. Sirius would foam at the motuh and muttter something as he ran off with his wand. Remus would shurg and say whatever you think. Time unfroze. I had made my descion. |
| Remus sat there by the fire pondering the events of the night. His view of Hotaru had gone from bad to good all in the space of a few hours. A nagging thaught came to him from the back of his head. What would she do if she knew about him being a werewolf? He stood up and looked out of the window and at the moon. Heading up to his room he layed down on the bed smiling contentivly with himself. |
| I felt relieved and happy, Potter- I mean James had forgiven me just like that. I almost skipped back up to our dorms. James and I were friends on first name basis. I had to get used to the idea of calling him James. James. James. James. James. James. As soon as the name ran through my mind I couldn’t stop it. I was of course only trying to remember to call him James. I think. I know! I do! I stopped in the halls and heard voices. Slytherin. I wasn’t prefect for nothing right? “You four! What are you doing out of bed so late? Back to your dorm. Hurry before I take points.” I said. They glared a were about to leave. One stopped and stood up to me. A rather large seventh year boy. “Hold on. Its just Evans. I thought it was someone important. Mudbloods. There are to many of you already. How many exactly? 12? 12 to many if you ask me.” He stood in front of me and I glared back at him. “Go ahead. You can say whatever but there is really nothing you can do.” I said. “Really?” He asked. “Really.” I confirmed. “I wouldn’t be so sure about that, Mudblood scum.” He spat on the ground in front of me but I held my composure. “Are you finished?” I asked angrily. |
| Hotaru I sat on the edge of my bed with my legs crossed in front of me. Glancing around, I tried to find some mischief to get myself into. I finally walked out of the dormitory and down the stairs. Noticing no one was there, I shrugged and went out onto the grounds. The morning sun was nice and warm on my face and I hummed a little tune to myself as I finally stopped and layed down under a shady tree by the lake. I fell asleep and when I woke up I was in shock. The full moon was just barely starting to peak over the horizon. |
| The full moon was tonight, rising in the sky. I remember the days when I loved to see that sight. Now it seemed that I dreaded it more than anything else. Tonight was one of those nights though and Remus would need me. |
| When I got back to the common room I saw James and Lily walk in after me. "What were you and Snivilus talking about?" James asked. "Be nice James." Lily said. Whoa I thought when did she start calling him James. "He asked me out to Hogsmede." I said sitting down in a chair next to the fire. James's mouth dropped. "He what?! And what did you say?" James said his voice full of shock. "I said sure why not." I said looking looking at James. His mouth really hit the floor this time. "Thats nice." Lily said. "Nice? Nice! Its not Nice its horrible!" James said breathing hard. "Why?" Lily asked looking at him. "Well what about Sirius?!" James asked. "What about him? I didnt hear him ask me out now did I?" I said. "But its Snivilus!" james said speaking with his hands. "Your such an alarmist. Just because we go out on one date doesnt mean were headed for marriage." I said to him leaving the common room. "Were are you going?!" He yelled after me. "To find Hotaru!" I said. I havent seen her in hours. |
| Remus had already gone to the shreiking shack ready to transform. It would be another night of frustration and pain. Well until James and Sirius would come and take him out and around the grounds. It was strange when he was in his werewolf form it was like he was giving him self up to something. It felt like he was taking a back seat in his own head and seeing things from a animals perception. The Hunger and urge to hunt while he was like that was a feeling he hated. He pulled off his robe and folded it neatly next his top and trousers. He placed his wand ontop of all of it and waited. A few mintues passed and then it began. The change into a werewolf was like something tearing into him as things rearagned soon it was complete. That primal howl that could send shivers up even the sternest person. |
| After the silly incident with the Slytherins I headed toward the castle doors. I saw a figure out by the lake standind up slowly and beginning to skip towards me. I recognized it as Hotaru. I walked slowly toward her and she stopped comming face to face with me. "What are you doing out here?" I asked. "I fell asleep." She said perkily. "Hurry and get in we have to get you to the common room before you're found. The teachers will kill us both." I said. "What? No detention from mmy best friend?" She asked laughing. "Haha. Come on lets go-" I stopped when I heard it and shivered. It was a howl. It was not at all a wolf's howl. It was different and I recognized it from a book I had read. I jumped. "We have to go!" I said hurriedly. "W-w-what was that?" Hotaru asked. "A....werewolf." I said turning around. "There arent any werewolves at Hogwarts...right?" Hotaru asked. "How should I know!" I exclaimed more loudly than I would have liked. "Lets go!!" Hotaru said jumping up and running toward the castle. |
| Faith came bouncing out from behind a tree. "There you are!" She said, running towards us. Me and Lily smiled and waved, and as Faith joined us we continued running towards the castle. Then Lily tripped with a yelp and grabbed her ankle. "What is it?" Faith asked. "I just tripped in a rabbit hole and twisted my ankle!" Lily moaned. I heard a low growl behind us. I whirled around and saw a werewolf circling us. Lily felt her pocket for her wand. "I left it in the common room when I went to look for you!" she gasped. Faiths was lying too far away for her to reach it. I knew mine was in the dorm...we were all alone with now wands. I looked up and saw Saturn. It gave me an idea..but it was really risky. If I did this..everyone would know. Or at least Lily and Faith. Would they tell..or had they figured it out... I made my decision, muttering an incantation silently. "Who did this?" Faith gasped. "I don't know.." Lily breathed. Faith grabbed Lily and helped her into the castle. I stood there and muttered the ending incantation. I hope I had fooled them and that I hadn't snetenced myself to being sick for four months as I ran back up to the castle, the werewolf leaping into the door as I slammed it shut. I doubt I had pulled the wool over there eyes. I rolled my eyes to the ceiling and asked a very important question. Why did I have to get stuck with smart friends? |
| I sat in silence, Remus was looking at James hungrily. The inner struggle of his human concious was going badly. "Transform!" I tried to say, but only a bark came from my mouth. The bark sent Peter, who was in his mouse form, into a frenzy. The rat squeaked and ran around the floor near James feet. James was shocked and took a step back but tried not to step on Peter. Remus leapt towards James knocking him over and headed for the tunnel that would take him back to the Hogwarts' grounds. I leapt after Remus nd hurried past a very shaken James who held Peter. As I raced through the tunnel I saw Remus disappear out the end. I quickly burst from the tunnel completely forgetting about the whomping willow. Tree limbs came smashing down all around me. My large dog body was agile enough to keep from getting crushed though. I bounded around ontop of the branches. The tree suddenly rushed from the ground and up into the air, carrying me with it. I had completely lost Remus by then. He had tried to spare James by leaving. I wondered how good of an idea that was. It took a few minutes but I was back in the shrieking shack with Remus. I had found him a little dazed and confused. Someone had probably used magic on him. I wondered who though. Peter and James were sitting quietly, completely transformed. Tonight had gone better than I thought it would after Remus got away. |
| Faith "Since when are there werewolves at this school!" I yelled helping Lily. "You knw I havent seen..." Lily began biting her lower lip. "You guys!" Hotaru yelled running after us. "Do you suppose the werewolf is a student?" Hotaru asked waling in stride with us. "Or a teacher." I said. Lily seemed lost in thought. |
| I sat beside my friends very quietly. It was the Saturday after the night we saw the werewolf. Something in my brain was screaming, something to be uncovered. If I could only reach a little further and discover the idea. "Hey! Lil! Wake up!" Faith said waving a hand in front of my face. "What? Huh?" I asked. "Are you ok? You havent said an intelligent word since last night." Hotaru said. I shook my head "Whatever." I sat in the common room thinking for hours and hours until it hit me. Hotaru was asleep on a couch and Faith was sitting upside down. I jumped into the air suddenly, making Faith fall backward and look at me. I covered my mouth trying to keep what I had discovered inside. I knew who the werewolf was. All the excuses I've heard from him. He was a good friend of mine how could I not have noticed before! "I...I think I fancy a walk. See you later!" I said rushing to the boys dormitory. Sirius jumped off his bed onto the floor when he saw me and everything went quiet. I was panting and waited to catch my breath. "R-remus? Can I talk to you? Just for a minute or so?" I asked nervously. It didnt matter that he was a werewolf. The fact that I now knew would not change the way he was. He looked very worn and tired but I could not wait a minute more. |
| I sat there, drumming my fingers on my potions textbook. I started humming a stupid little song to myself, and Faith looked at me like I'd lost my marbles. I was rather mad at myself for having used my stupid magic. I really didn't understand it either. I was just glad this time it hadn't come with its usual consequences. I wonder what Lily had gone rushing off for. I sighed again and stared out the window. What in the world could be going on anyway? A lock of my hair fell into my eyes and I blew it out. Only to have it fall right back where it was two seconds later. I just sighed with an extreme sound of aggravation and hit my head on the windowsill, causing a bunch of first years to squeak and run away. Sirius looked over his shoulder at me and made a face. I threw a deck of exploding snap at him, and it blew up in his face. Faith fell into the floor laughing. James was trying not to laugh, obviously. Sirius only had a very amusing look on his face as he used a charm to get the soot off his face. Then Remus and Lily came into the room. Lily went over to Faith almost instantly and started whispering in her ear. Remus went over to Sirius and James. All right, now it was my turn to be paranoid. *** Later that night, I sat on high branch of a tree close to the lake the moon now waning slowly back towards the new moon. I had a small flute like thing and was playing a weird song. I stopped when I heard voices. Four of them. Oh goody..if it wasn't just the people I had been trying to avoid. Sirius was keen on getting revenge on people who messed his hair up. "I can't believe she figured it out!" Remus sighed. "I can't believe it took her this long.." Sirius said with a very bored look on his face. "Well I..." James started. "We don't need your opinion on Lily, Prongs." Sirius grinned. Sirius spun around and grabbed Remus. "Oh Lily..I love you soo much!" Sirius said, making exaggerated faces at Remus. "Man...let me go Padfoot! Dude, let me go!" Remus said trying to get away from Sirius while laughing his head off. James got a very sullen look on his face and started to pout. Peter was running circles around the lot of them. "All right then." Sirius smiled, and let go of Remus. So suddenly that he fell on his back. James and Sirius started laughing, while Peter was fidgeting around with almost rat like movements. (how do we know that he isn't a rat that can change into a person...this would explain some things...grrrr) I was enjoying myself sitting in a tree and watching this entire amusing ordeal. I heard Faith and Lily climb into the tree. This was our tree. We had claimed this as our tree a long time ago. We all settled ourselves among our usual branches and watched the boys make fools of themselves. It was getting very hard not to laugh. After Sirius kept grabbing one or the other of the boys and waltzing around with them singing some ridiculous song. Then Sirus and James launched into some reallly stupid song that nearly had all three of us laughing our heads off. Remus was shaking his head in disgust and Peter was dancing around with a...slight...lack of coordination. O.k...that was a lie. A complete and utter lack of coordination. Then of course my head launched into an argument over whether or not saying complete and utter was redundant. In about another hour, we had all gone back inside. I was trying to sleep, but I couldn't. I went down into the common room, and didn't see anyone. "Hotaru." Someone whispered from the corner. "What? Remus? What're you doing over..hey!" I yelled as he pulled me over there. "What is it?" He heaved a huge sigh. "Well..Lily said I'd better tell you." Oh no...this couldn't be good. Maybe my sense of paranoia about earlier wasn't merely my mind playing tricks. "Tell me what?" I asked, afraid of the answer. "I'm a werewolf..." Then everything clicked. I didn't say anything for a moment. He got a hurt look on his face after I didn't say anything for a moment. "Hotaru...I understand it if..you.." I looked straight into his eyes. "It doesn't matter to me Remus." I said resuringly. "It doesn't matter a thing to me." I said with a smile. Then something else clicked. "OH my God..I'm sorry..! I didn't know it was you..I woudn't have used that..magic if I'd known you..oh..I'm SO sorry. And then I slammed the door and you crashed headfirst into it.." I was blushing furiuosly now. "I'm sorry...I didn't hurt you did I?" Remus hadn't said anything he was just smiling at me oddly the whole time. |
| I slept soundly and awoke early. Silently I walked passed a sleeping Remus and Hotaru who were asleep on the Common room couch. I went out onto the grounds. Much of the castle was still asleep. I went to the tree my friends and I had claimed for ourselves. Sitting in the shade of our tree was Sirius. 'Uhoh' I thought 'He doesnt look happy'. I pretended likeI hadnt seen Sirius and amde an attempt to walk past him. "I hear you were going out on a date with Snape." Sirius called out after I had passed the tree. I stopped and turned around. He was still sitting under the tree as calm as could be. "Now I only have one question. Why?" he said standing up and looking me square in the eye. "Because he asked me." I said. "So? If he asked you to jump off a cliff would you?" Sirius said angrily "No." I said looking back at him. He opened his mouth to speak but couldnt find the words. I desperatly hoped Lily or Hotaru would suddendly come outside and rescue me from this uncomfortable talk. "But its Snape!" He said throwing his hands up in the air. |
| It was quite early in the morning. I walked the halls silently thinking of nothing. I was completely blank. One of the few times actually, and I liked it. I did notice movement however not to far from me. I shook my head a bit to think and figure out who it was. It was two figures talking, sneering, and snickering quickly. They looked up and noticed me. It was to late for any plan of skirting around them withouth their notice. Malfoy smiled and the girl, Bellatrix nudged him with a smirk. "Well look who it is." said Malfoy. "One of the three." "I dont bother myself with mudbloods." Bellatrix sniggered. "I hate this one most of all." Malfoy pointed out. "IT has no right to be in this school." "Shove off Malfoy." I glared. "Where are your friends?" Bellatrix asked menacingly. "you'll have to excuse Bellatrix. She loathes Deluna and Sloom almost as much as I loath you." He glared. I glared right back and began to walk past the two. Malfoy grabbed my arm and smirk looking me up and down. "You may want to be careful mudblood. Bad things can happen to those who...I hate. I'd speak with your friends too. They should watch out for Bellatrix, though not as strong as I she desires their...pain." He winked and set off with a grinning Bellatrix. I stood stuck on the spot. Those really did sound like threats. Bellatrix hated Faith and Hotaru and Malfoy could barely stand being around me. He couldnt stop a few comments at the least. In the Great Hall I grabbed a quick breakfast. There was a quidditch game, Gryffindor versus Slytherin today. I wanted to get a good seat to watch Sirius and...P-James win. I was still having a hard time calling him James after calling him Potter for so long. I would get used too it sooner or later. |
| I smiled and tried not to open my eyes. I was too comfortable. I didn't want to wake up, but my eyes decided I was going to. Remus was the first thing I saw, and I noticed I was lying on top of him and one of his arms was draped around me. "Remus!" "What?" He sighed, a sleepy smile on his face. "We fell asleep." I smiled, trying not to laugh at the dazed expression on his face. |
| (*whew* we all seem to be running all over the place) Faith avoided Sirius angry glares as easily as possible. "Sirius is pissed." Hotaru whispered to Faith smirking. Faith chuckled and replied "Gee...I wonder why." "Not sure maybe we should ask him." Lily said teasing and giggling. Sirius just stood leaning up against a wall frowning. When it was time to leave he and James ran off ahead. "Why do I have a feeling they're up to no good?" Faith said sighing. "When are they ever up to any good?" Lily asked smiling. |
| Remus had headed off after James and Sirius but had no luck in finding them. He decided to head off to the great hall for lunch and then he would go to the library. He had been in the hall only ten minutes when Faith, Hotaru and Lily came in and sat down near him. "Faith have you seen James and Sirius I couldn't find them anywhere? "asked Remus? "Not since last lesson...Why "asked faith? "I told them I'd catch up with them "sighed Remus. "Well those two are probably having another go at Snape "huffed Lily. "No they arn't "said Hotaru. "How do you know "asked Faith? "Because Snape is having lunch in here "smiled Remus seeing Lily go red in the face. "Smart ass "laughed Lily. "No that wasn't being a smart ass it's called being observant. You should try it sometime Lily "Smirked Remus. It was strange he wasn't usualy in such a sarcastic mood unless he was with James and Sirius. Perhaps he was glad Snape was not being picked on right now. "Well I'm off to the library I have a herboligy report to finish because of the thing the other night I did't get it finished "Sighed Remus disapearing of to the library. |
| Faith headed off for her date with Snape. I shuddered at the thought. She'd do better with James or Sirius. I sighed at the thought. Was it possible that Snape had something up his sleeve? Why else would he want a date with Faith? There could be no other reason. I raced down the halls to find Faith and try to talk her out of it. I pushed past a very angry looking Sirius soon followed by a curious James. I pushed them a little with no time to apologize. In seconds I could see Faith's back walking toward the lake. I shouted her name quite loudly. She turned and waited for me to catch up. I was then panting and waiting to catch my breath. "Listen...Faith. I dont think you should go out with Snape. Just hear me out." I said. "What?" She asked but waiting for me to finish. "I have two VERY good reasons for you not to go out with him." "Shoot." "Ok. 1, What if he's plotting something. You never know what the Dark Arts could do to a person. He has this fascinationg with it. 2, I dont trust him. 3, Sirius is fuming. I've never seen him so angry. Really you shouldnt do this to him." I finished in one breath. "Like you did to James. Really Lily it isnt much different." Faith said. That shut me up, for a little while. "I know what I did was wrong so please dont make my mistake. I misjudged James because he's so...you know," I almost said perfect but Faith would be a little shocked and think something I'd rather she not think, "Just dont go out with Snape! Please!" "Listen...LILY! I will not do what others tell me. I have my own mind and I'll use it. I dont care what you or anyone else thinks so just leave Snape and I ALONE!" She turned her back and raced off to her meeting spot with Snape. I fell to my knees with surprise and slammed my fists into the ground. The pain was the only thing that seemed real. Faith would not listen. So what if I was wrong about him...I didnt trust him and why should I? I know the only reason Faith thought that was because he called me a mudblood and I wanted revenge. Sure I was angry and hurt from that but I would not ask her to change her mind ffor that only reason. I felt awful. It was true I wasnt to make Faith's decisions. I just...it was so much harder to explain. I felt like crying but nothing came. I thought it had only been a few minutes but the minutes turned to hours. Hours of kneeling on the ground filled with anger, regret, worry, and sadness. What hit me the hardest was what Faith said. I was being hypocritical. I didnt treat James fairly. But that was MY mistake. |
| Hotaru I wandered down the stairs, heading to Hogsmeade. It was so boring today, no one was about at all. After I got some chocolate from Honeydukes, I headed back to Hogwart's. Then I decided to go to the library and find something to read. I noticed Remus leaning over a book, his hair falling in his eyes. "You look like you could use some sugar."I said, smiling. "What? Huh? Oh...Hotaru." He smiled up at me, looking kind of sleepy. "Do you want some chocolate?" I asked. He smiled and took quite a bit of it. I didn't mind, but that boy seemed to have a chocolate addiction. |
| I felt so stupid. I had fought with Faith and she was right. I had broken down in front of James and left him outside. Things were screwed up but I smiled when I saw Remus sitting by Hotaru. They were both eating chocolate together by the fire. Though maybe not romantic it was a start for them. I backed away quietly into James whom I had not noticed entering. He smiled as I looked up into his face. I pressed a finger to my lips and smiled following him out of the common room. He smiled brightly. "About time." James said. "Really. Well its just the beginning. Remus can be so shy." I observed. "To right." James said, "So...now what? Do you want to go somewhere and talk?" "Well..." I hesitated, "I suppose." I didnt mind talking to James about Snape. I knew that he also was against Faith's decision. For many reasons including Sirius. "We could go to the kitchens, or the come and go room, or any of the secret passage ways." James said eagerly. "Ah...yes. I almost forgot you are a marauder." I smiled. "Marauder. I like the sound of that." He smirked obviously knowing something I didnt. |
| Hotaru smiled softly and swallowed a last bit of chocolate. Remus had been watching her, and she blushed. "Umm..thanks.." She said nervously. He only smiled, and she noticed how close they were. She found herself leaning in and kissing Remus softly on the lips. |
| Everything with Faith and Serveru's date was going fine...well as fine as a date with Snape could go at least. They were sitting down enjoying a butterbeer and talking about how evil Professor Binns was, when someone that was sure to cause problems walked in....Sirius Black. He spied the two and a mischevious grin spread onto his face. |
| "Would you think I was awful if..." I hesitated. "If..?"He asked. "If I asked you if there were any passageways into Hogsmede." I said trying to act innocent. "You want to spy on Kennedy and Snape!" James laughed, "Lily Evans wants to spy! Its unheard of." "Now you wouldnt know that would you." I slyly. "Well I do know a way into Hogsmede but...I dont know if I should tell you...." He said. "Please!" I said innocently. "What will you give me?" he asked. "A rather sore head if you dont!" I said sarcastically. "Really." He said with a brow raised. "How about..." I stood straighter and lightly kissed him on the cheek, "another one of those if you get me there and back." He smiled goofily, "Lets go then." |
| Remus acted a bit suprised, and she was suprised when he kissed her back. She smiled and continued to kiss him. After a minute, he pulled away. They were both blushing terribly. "That was interesting.." She smiled. Remus only blushed more and stuttered a bit. |
| "Hello Faith." Sirius said. Faith noticed he looked slightly upset and a little jealous. There was a slight moment of silence. "Well..." Sirius said shifting his weight. "Well." Serverus said in response. "I was just..." Sirius started but stopped. "Just what?" Faith asked calmly. |
| "I...Uh I. Doyouwannagoutsometime "he said rather fast. "What I didn't quite catch that "she said with a smile. He swallowed and took a deep breath. "Do you want to go out sometime? "he said again but this time he said it slow enough for her to understand? |
| I was glad the tunnel was dark or else James would have noticed the tint of my face. I felt incredibly hot and my face was pounding. I left going through the long tunnel and finally coming to a hatch of some sort. I pushed it open and heaved myself out. I stood up and dusted myself off. There was someone on the other side of the door. I heard arguing and words I wasnt going to repeat at the moment. I pushed through the door to come face to face with Snape and Sirius each scowling at eachother. "What's going on here?" I asked. "Black here ruined my date." said Snape. I wanted jump up and down with glee. I also wondered what happened and where Faith had gone to. "Which way did she go?" I questioned. Sirius pointed in the direction then with a pleading expression said, "Tell her I'm sorry if I upset her." I nodded and rushed out the door. I could faintly see Faith in her dark robes. I shouted her name several times before she noticed. She turned and waited for me to catch up. "What happened?" I asked. She shrugged, "Who cares. Let them fight it out, or whatever." "Sirius wanted me to tell you he was sorry he upset you. He looked bloody angry at Snape though." I smiled. Faith smiled a little then quickly hid it. We walked a little more shivering in the cold. I held James invisibility cloak fondly draped across my arm. Faith noticed it then glared. "Thats an invisibility cloak. You werent trying to spy on me were you?" She asked. "No! I was on a...romantic date with James Potter." I said trying to look innocent. "YOU WERE trying to spy on me! I cant believe this!" Faith snorted from laughter and anger. "Hey, I never got around to it. Besides you know you would do the same." I said. "Yeah....still..." She hummed. ***(A/N: HEY! I thought I would give this an edge and add a couple druck, clebrating death eaters. NO VOLDEMORT but new death eaters. I was thinking they are jsut beginning to grow so are celebrating joining up with him. But first I wanted to make sure I was right about these characters settings: James, Sirius, Snape, Lily, Faith are in Hogsmede. Hotaru, Peter, Remus are at hogwarts in the common room(maybe do something w/ the slytherins?)*** There was a loud crash and then singing. I smiled. There must have been others in Hogsmede. They sounded really happy. "Who's that?" I asked. "I dunno. They're all wearing black cloaks with hoods though. A bit strange." Faith said pointing them out. "You dont think they're those.....death eater things." "No of course not." I said positively. "Because if they are Lily..." She stopped. "I know. I know. I'm a muggle born." I said peering cautiously and the crowd. |
| "You're so cute when you ask me things...hmm I should probably think about this.. "she said snuggling into the chair by the fire. "Oh great...you're going to hurt yourself thinking like that "he said sarcasticly. He looked at her and smiled. "Downside to being friends with James and sirius...You end up with a strong sarcastic nature "he sighed shrugging his shoulders. She was looking at him as if to work out what he was thinking. "Well you know what...we have been friends for a long...long...long time. The werewolf thing doesn't bother me...So I guess... "she said giving him her look of contemplation. ------- Remus came up into the dormatry later on looking pleased with himself. He was humming under his breath and was looking very cheerful. "Hey what's up with you...has somebody put a cheering charm on you or something "asked James as he came in followed by Sirius? "No I'm just...in a very good mood "Smiled Remus looking out of the window. |
| "I want to help Faith!" I shouted. "I am not helpless!" "No but there were more than enough take care of you, James and I in wand swish of their wands." She said. I was still angry. I abosolutely hated being muggleborn. So many disadvantages...including ones such as these. "James could get hurt and we'd just be leaving him and that helpless kid." I said. Faith paused, she knew I was right. She was being the most reasonable in this situation though and turned back, heading for Hogwarts. "What are you doing?" I asked. "If we get no word we'll go back with Sirius and Remus and Hotaru and maybe Dumbledore if we can reach him." She said. "And I get to go...." I said as we entered Hogwarts. She looked around a ginned. "Sure you do Lily." It was fake, no doubt about that. She pushed me into some kind of closet and locked it. I shouted at her to open but the only reply I got was: "Admit it Lily. I get into a whole lot more mischeif than you do. I know more about these sort of locking spells than you do." She said "I'm going to kill you." "When I get back." She said. I thought quickly, "Alohomora!" She may have been the better trouble maker but I wasnt exactly stupid either. Forgetting my wand I jumped at her knocking her to the ground. remembering my wand I pointed it at her face. She smirked as the doors flew open and James, shivering from the cold walked in clutching the child. I lowered my wand from Faith's face and stood up. "What's going on?" He asked. "Nothing." I said. "What happened?" |
| Hotaru sighed heavily and twisted her hair around her fingers. She was looking out the window nervously, before she wandered outside. Something wasn't right and she was going to find out what on earth it was. |
| "What's going on? I thaught I could hear shouting "asked Remus coming down from the boys dorm? He saw nobody around and he was abit confused. Had he immagined it. He listened and he could hear voices getting closer to the common room entrance. He pulled out his wand and sat down in one of the armchairs so he was out of sight. "Come on hurry up and get in...quickly "he heard Jame's voice say. "I'm coming...hold your horses "snapped Lily's voice. "Luminos *sorry if it's spelt wrong* "sighed Remus as his wand tip lit up. He was surprised to see faith, lily and james. "Damm it Remus don't do that...are you trying to give us a heart attack "snapped lily holding something. "I heard noises...so I came to see what was going on...and what is that "he asked seeing a pair of small feet poking out from under the wraped up robe? |
| "James?" I whispered. He looked asleep but jumped at the sound of my voice. He looked around in the darkness. The fire was slowly dying down. He sighed and laid back down. "Lily." He sighed. I rolled my eyes. I hadnt been gone that long. I shook my head and smiled slightly. "Sorry about waking you." I knelt down beside him leaning over his slowly rising and falling chest. I steadily gave the child the medicine. She closed her eyes and fell asleep almost instantly. I looked at James backing away slightly for distance. "You look tired James. You should get some rest." How stupid did that sound? Its not like I care! Right? He shrugged slighty not moving his eyes. I could smell him faintly...it was like peppermint(yummy! lol!). "I guess I should." He relaxed and laid back. I sat next to him then stretched on my back. I felt awkward being so close to James. Like I was nervous or scared or something. I stared at the ceiling until James looked like he was asleep. Then I looked at his face and smiled. "You did a great thing today James." I whispered before closing my eyes and falling into the darkness of sleep. |
| I woke feeling a bit cramped but energized. James was laying flat on his back with the child beside him and me on the other side. Oh, how strange was this situation? His arm was around my shoulders I slowly moved the dead weight off without waking him and feeling cold right after. I stood and stretched with a yawn. I fixed the blanket over James and the girl and crept up the stairs for a shower. I exited the bathroom feeling clean and ready for the day and checked the time 15 past 6. After dressing I softly stepped down the stairs, walked by James' sleeping form and out the portrait. Where was Dumbledore? I made it as far as the defense against the dark arts corridor before hearing a sound. Two, maybe three or four boys talking in whispers. It was much to early for them to be up and about. I was about to sneack up and find out what was going on when I heard a "uh-uum." Dumbledore cleared his throat and sent the boys back the the slytherin dormitories. "Dumbledore! Have you found any news?" I asked quickly. "I have found the father who is in hiding now, the child will go as soon as I can make the trip. The sooner the better. They'll be safe for some time. Where is Mr. Potter?" "He's still asleep." "Thats fine send him to me with the child when they wake. By the way if you're hungery the passwords fiddle sticks." I smiled at the wizard and turned, deciding to bring breakfast to James in the common room before his visit to Dumbledore. |
