not yet finished, its a working progress...
This is her story…
Shes gonna cry today,
She knew her love was running away…
Shes gonna lay her head on her best friends shoulder,
Replaying the thought that it was over.
Shes gonna fall to her knees, longing for some kind of comfort.

Shes gonna cry for her mama to rock her to sleep,
Singing her a lullaby as she sadly weeped.
She asked, “Mama, why do I cry?”
As she looked at the roses he gave her that one night.
“Am I gonna cry till I die; Please give me an answer, tell me why?!”
“Im not sure, but it hurts, I know it does.”
Mama said as she gently brushed a tear from her cheek.
“Mama, just hold me till I sleep, and I can no longer weep.”

She awoke heartbroken,
She stared as petals dried and fell from the stems.
She knew he was gone.
She weeped a little, then pulled herself out of bed,
And got ready for the long day ahead.
She went to school wearing sunglasses, thinking it would conceal her pain, maybe people would let her be, and be on their way.
They saw through the shades, and saw the suffering she was going through.
She bottled up her feelings, and they saw a brave woman, out to conquer anything that stood in her way.
Yet, the people that knew her soul, noticed it was tattered, her insides were torn.

She sat in class holding back the tears that were building up.
She was still, motionless, as she replayed memories they made, their first kiss, then the time he asked her to wear his ring.
She closed her eyes, and saw him standing there, every curve, line, scent, and freckle on his body.
She laid her head on the cold hard table, whimpering softly,
Knowing things would never be the same.
