About being a klutz. It's not always a "cute" thing no matter what people say.
Dancer, at first
So graceful and with movement so smooth
Utilizes the hard kitchen floor
As that of a stage.

She sashays toward the refrigerator
Fluorescent light shines on her toe
Painted "Seashell Pink" and pointed elegantly
Into the air.

A turn takes her to the wooden cupboard
Where she takes a fresh glass
And places it on the counter
Holding it as carefully
As if her life depended on it.

She reaches for the juice.

The beautifully balanced glass
Falls off of the table and shatters
Into a thousand tiny peices
Pink spreading smoothly
Save for the harsh, sharp glass
on clean linoleum
Mixing with disappointment.
