My sole tattoo....
Believe it or not, there actually is room on my tiny Stik frame for a tattoo! Getting a tattoo was something that took a long time to catch my interest. In my rebellious age (all of thirteen years), I preferred body piercings over tattoos, but after getting a brilliant henna tattoo of the Chinese symbol for music at a fair when I was seventeen, the piercing idea went bye-bye. I originally wanted to get a permanent version of that henna tattoo on my right arm, but various circumstances kept me from getting a tattoo until I was nineteen.

When I finally got my tattoo, I was still emotionally wounded from the sudden end of the longest romantic involvement of my life at that point. I had no interest in ever being romantically involved again, and I wanted to advertise that with a tattoo. I think a bleeding heart, a black rose and the quote "Love hurts me" ("El Amor Me Lastima") do a good job of that. Now why the Spanish? It sounded more poetic and wistful to me even though I'm exactly zero percent Hispanic. It may have cost me eighty dollars, but it was well worth it. Everybody loves the tattoo, and it may be the only one I will get. I may get one more, but I'm not really sure about it. Why's that? Well, let's just say that about seven months after I got this tattoo, I found mi amor. Now the tattoo is very ironic, especially considering how much I love and adore mi amor. Still, it's art, and I refuse to get rid of art.
My sole tattoo....
