This poem is about having a friend who is nonresponsive to life and has become careless. |
Through blue windows You witness the pain, the agony Of living in a world of hatred, of despair You gaze upon the love and joy That has graced this earth In each and every day And yet you don’t feel anything Just staring through those huge blue windows Could you please show something? A smile or a frown A tear or some rejoice Every day passes with no emotion Just consuming through the windows The windows of pure azure I feel as though all the words Just wont make anything better for you All the attempts and tires Maybe some day it'll make a difference But today it's not functioning Please let me know when I can help And turn your world upside down 'Cause I really care And yet you don’t feel anything Just staring through those huge blue windows Could you please show something? A smile or a frown A tear or some rejoice Every day passes with no emotion Just consuming through the windows The windows of pure azure Someone said you were inquisitive Not finding joy in expressing yourself But rather in how others do Someone challenged your intelligence Explaining you are so dense I mentioned you were special With your own outlook on this society And one day you’d show the world With everything you've ever known That there's a time for everyone to shine And yours hasn’t approached yet They simply laughed in my face I stood strong wanting to show no defeat Can you please just show me something? I’d prefer a smile to a frown And a tear of joy to one of sorrow I’d prefer a word to a look And yet you don’t show anything Just staring through those huge blue windows Could you please show something? Every day passes with no emotion Just consuming through the windows The windows of pure azure Those Windows of Pure Azure... Keep all you've seen and have yet to see Bottled up inside Just wanting to explode and share it all Please let me help you Please just show me something Something with those blue windows Those windows that allow you to see the world |
