A poem comtemplating fish heads.
Fish Heads

Of all the things in this world I despise
I hate, I can't stand, I abhor fish eyes.
Why must they serve fish with head still intact?
I wish you could give me an answer to that.
You really can't eat it, that would be gross.
But I'll tell you the thing that I really hate most
is the way that it watches you, while you try
to eat the fish body, while avoiding its eye.
It watches each move of your fork in the air
As if to say, "Scum! Eat me if you dare!"
Give me canned tuna, or salmon pate,
filet of sole or fried perch any day.
But honestly friend, I'd rather be dead
than to try to eat a fish with a head.
