Couriousity killed the cat, they say
And I would quite agree -
For when I went exploring
It almost killed me!
I cannot escape this place
I thought with panic mounting high;
When will I see the light?
I am much to young to die!
The cave was long and narrow
With many a twist and turn;
I thought of home and family
And for them I did yearn.
My light had given out
And I was giving up, you know;
When I heard voices calling me
From somewhere down below!
Another entrance to the cave?
It seemed too good to be true;
I soon lost my footing
And lost my flashlight too.
A blast of air, a beam of light
Warm hands and friendly faces
Pulling me to safety then
From these horrid places.
In circles I had explored,
Giving myself quite a fright;
Tomorrow is another day
And I shall sleep tonight!
