SPRINGTIME AT THE FARM "Oh, My!" exclaimed the newborn chicks, Getting their first glimse of the sun; They hopped and peeped and jumped about, Right out of the nest, one by one! Cavorting about, they heard a shout; "Wheeee!" as the pony scampered around, "I can't wait to run, it is such fun!" And the piglets looked up from the ground. The piglets were small, but Papa was tall, And big as big could ever be! Sweet Mama pig was dancing a jig, With her cute curly tail flying free! The ducks and the hens, out of their pens Were parading 'round the barnyard with glee; The old rooster crowed, happiness showed, "It's Springtime at the farm, don't you see!" The cute little bunnies, eyeing their honeys, Were thumping and bumping their pen; "Oh, please let us out" they started to shout; "We've got to deliver Easter eggs again!" Soon they were free, scampering with glee, Painting eggs of every color and size; Hens filled their nests with eggs for the quest And a smiley-face look in their eyes! Springtime is fun for almost everyone With it's mud and it's grasses so green; Why, even the cow moos as it chews It's the happiest sight to be seen! |
