everyone has thier own unique perceptions in both thier waking life and their dreams.
Nighttime brings a silence,
Unlike any other,
When daylight's song is long forgotten,
Surrendered to her brother.
The chirping of a cricket,
The distant babble of a brook,
Something rustles, then it settles,
In it's own nocturnal nook.
Moonlight beams its silver music,
Over every sleeping town,
Bathing everything in pearly white,
Though man's made it ugly brown.

Then the creatures of the night,
Begin to lift their darkened heads,
And roam the city looking for,
Those helpless in their beds.
Some creatures are harmless,
Shakespeare's was his muse,
But others bring dark tales in tow,
It's not for you to choose.
But be forewarned my child,
For when you have grown up tall,
One of them will come for you,
The most brilliant one of all.
