Lover's tiff ends in tears. Yes! it's doggerel!
Very mellow feeling fading,
ire and anger rapid rising,
lens of seeing tinged with red,
your present lies upon the bed.

Questions whirling,
senses turning.
My cat is dead
upon my bed.

Love eternal was our motto
in our sacred sanctum, grotto
where we lied and came together
aside a hedge of rotting heather.

Rage is growing,
fists are clenching.
I will kill you
and your dog too!

Waiting watching outside bedsit
it's the place you live, ain't it?
chainsaw thrumming, readiness.
I will enter, make a mess!

And when the fight is done
that taste of blood upon my tongue
I'll tell the cops: not my fault
I suffer from acute brain-moult.
