Frightened Victor

Bromyn shouted for Thimpin to stay by his side
and to swing the silver net out wide
and when he did it sparkled in the dim lantern light.
Bromyn shouted,"Let go!", and it sailed and glided and glowed
through the air like a really pretty kite.

It settled softly on the monster like a quilt
and as Thimpin wondered why it was built
it flashed like a camera only twice as bright as the sun.
For a minute everything was quiet and dark and still
and Thimpin held his breathe and bit his tongue.

When once again he could see,
Bromyn was bent down on one knee
picking up the silver net across the way.
And as he looked up he laughed and waved and shouted,
"Old Spy'ter has left us for this day!"

Thimpin was speechless
but wondered nontheless,
who Bromyn really was and how could he get back home.
He was lost underground and tired and scared
even though he wasn't completely all alone.

As if knowing it was time,
Bromyn spoke soft and kind
and said, "Thimpin, you have seen enough this day.
I will take you to the Four Brothers and the sky and the trees,
and you will go home until another day."

For the first time in awhile
Thimpin's face lit up with a smile
and he quickly asked, "How long will it take?"
Bromyn slapped his belly and laughed and hooted
and said, "Thimpin, you could cure a headache!"
