I LOVE FRUITCAKE

Chapter 1:Cosmo
I remember it so clearly. Shelly had introduced me and Sprout, and I had fallen in love almost instntly. His messy hair, his smile, the fact that he was almost a foot taller than me, I had just fallen for it all. There was only one probem. I didn't know if he had loved me back, or if he would ever grow to.
I was out one night with a few of my friends. Gardenview had closed, and Glisten had wanted a few people to hang out with. He had gathered Boxten and I. The halls were empty, and the ony thing that you could've heard was us talking. We somehow got to the topic of Astro and Dandy, forcing us to branch out to the topic of who we like.
"So Glisten, it's clear you want something like those two. Who would you want it with?"
Glisten had blushed at Boxten's comment. He began to chuckle as he stared at the ground.
"I might have a crush on Looey. Just don't tell him. Ever,"
Boxten and I just smiled as we promised not to tell anyone. Who would we tell anyways? It's not like we had heaps of friends.
"So now that we have me out of the way, how about you Cosmo?"
Glisten's question made me freeze. I didn't know if I could trust these two. Then again, Glisten had just told Boxten and I who he liked.
"Well there's this one guy-"
"I didn't know I was surrounded by gay people,"
Me and Glisten laughed at that comment before Glisten urged me to keep going.
"C'mon. Tell us about this man,"
"Well, we met a few months ago, and I've just liked him since then. We bake a lot together,"
Gisten and Boxten just stared at me until Boxten said, "You like Sprout?"
I blushed, sighed, and then nodded my head. Glisten then said that it was getting late and that we would talk about this later. We dropped off Boxten, telling him we'd do this again, and then we reaced my room.
"We will talk more later. You have a chance with him. He's gonna be in an episode tomorow, so bake him some cupcakes or something,"
I nodded and thanked him before I closed my door. I dressed myself in pajamas and went into bed, hoping that Gisten would be right and that I did have a chance.

Chapter 2:Sprout
"So what if I like him?"
Shelly laughed and took a cookie from the tray I brought her. I had just went over how I liked Cosmo. She thought that it was interesting, to say the least.
"You two only ever bake together. Name one time you two have done something different,"
I opened my mouth, but nothing came to me. I hadn't known one thing that he liked other than baking. I mean, he had taken me stargazing a few times, but that was with Astro. If he liked anything different, then I didn't know it.
"Exactly. You like a guy you hardly even know,"
I sunk into the chair I was sitting in and sighed. She was right. I got up and left her room after we exchanged goodbyes. I then walked into my room and placed myself on my bed. I closed my eyes and began to drift off, but not before a single thought drifted through my mind.

Does he feel the same?

Chapter Three:Cosmo
I woke up around nine AM, knowing that there were kids wandering gardenview by now. I quickly got ready for the day and left my room, heading for the kitchen area. I saw Astro, Vee, and Sprout doing something for the show. I took in Sprout. He was wearing the same outfit as yesterday, but without the apron that he was using when we baked. I turned my head away and arrived at the kitchen.
I prepared a few ingredents, but I didn't get them all pulled out before kids started to watch me. I smiled at them and finished prepping the ingredients. I then began to go over te recipe for cupcakes that I had memorized. I preheated the oven, and then proceeded to get everything else wrong.
The sugar/flower mixture got everywhere, the butter for the frosting was melted, and I only made enough batter for one cupcake. Perfect. The cupcake baked well, but it was difficut to deccorate it with the liquid frosting. I got it done well enough, threw on some sprinkles, and called it a day. I wrote a note that said 'I hope you enjoy!' and put both of the things in Sprout's room as he finished filming.
I then walked over to Glisten's room to see if he'd be willing to talk with me. I needed some advice or support then.

Chapter 4:Sprout
I woke up at about seven and made my way to where we were filming. Vee and Astro were waiting for me, and they were talking about Cosmo.
"It's really weird how him and Sprout are always baking,"
"They like to spend time with eachother,"
I walked up to the two and they stopped their conversation. Vee smiled and looked at me.
"so are you and Cosmo dating yet?"
I blushed at her comment. Why would she ask this? I couldn't have been that obvious. Astro gave Vee a look and she smiled more.
"Don't answer her. let's foucus on the episode for today,"

We finished filming and we all went our own ways. I decided to go to my room and find out what things I could do to show Cosmo that I loved him.
As I entered my room, I saw a cupcake, and a note propped up against it that read 'I hope you enjoy!' In Cosmo's handwriting. He must havw made it for me as a thank you for baking. There was no chance he made it for me because he loved me.
Right?

Chapter 5:Sprout
I ate the cupcake, contemplating everything that we had ever done together. He had made the cupcake for me, but that could have meant nothing. I was left in the dark about his emotions with me. If he had liked me, I didn't know. I pulled out my phone to text Shelly when I saw that Tisha had texted me.
'Tell Cosmo to get his ass in the kitchen and read my note.'
I immediately realized that Cosmo had made a mess without me in the kitchen together. I guess he needed me to be in the kitchen with him at all moments. That thought made me smile.
I looked back at the note he had writen me. It was simple, yet it made my heart flutter. I then decided to text him a thank-you, just to start a conversation.
'Thanks for the cupcake! I hope it wasn't too difficult without me'
I had hoped he was out on a run or something, but it turns out he was doing nothing.
'I could have used some help lol'
Well now what was I to do? Ask him to hang out? To bake? We did that enough already, but Tisha did want him in the kitchen. That was a good enough excuse to be around him.
'Tisha needs you in the kitchen'
And I recieved an almost immediate response:
'Well now I'm scared'
I smiled. He did tend to get scared from the smallest things. I once saw him jump when he didn't notice Goob was behind him. I texted him back:
'I can go with if that would help'
'I'll see you there'
I smiled at the phone. He responded almost immediately, and he wanted us to hang out. a success. We just had to deal with Tisha.

Chapter 6:Cosmo
I was walking to the kitchen when I saw Boxten looking scared. I assumed it was Connie and kept walking. As I got closer to the kitchen, I saw Sprout outside of it, and was immediately happy. A smile fell across my face, and my walking speed grew. I walked up to him, but saw Tisha standing in the kitchen, almost like she was waiting. I ignored her, and began to talk to Sprout.
"Hey! Thanks for dealing with Tisha with me,"
He gave me a smile back, and I began to blush as he responded.
"Anytime! It does look like she's going to give us hell though,"
I rembered that she was standing there. I took Sprout's hand and began to walk into the kitchen.
"There you two are," She began, looking pissed off.
"You two stay in here,"
And she left and closed the door behind her. I then realized that Sprout and I were holding hands, blushed intensely, and let go. I saw that Sprout had began to blush as well, and smiled a bit.
"So why do you think Tisha left us in here?"
Sprout looked down and hesitated. He was probably thinking the same thing that I was.

We love eachother.

The fact came to light for me when we both realized that we were holding hands, but enjoyed it. We had become that obvious to the other toons that they had to lock us in a room to realize.
"Cosmo,"
He stopped, blushing. I walked up to him and put my hand on his cheek. I smiled and bushed before saying, "I love you too, Sprout,"
I brought my lips to his quickly before pulling away to see that he was blushing. I smiled, and then heard a door unlock.
I saw Astro, Vee, Shelly, Glisten, and Tisha walk in. Tisha stayed behind while Shelly and Glisten came to me, and Vee and Astro went to Sprout.
"I knew it ever since the day I introduced you two, I just KNEW IT!"
Glisten just gave me a thumbs up and said calmly, "Good job Cosmo,"
Vee was telling Sprout she knew it while Astro kept telling him, 'Ignore her'
After all that was done and Tisha told us, 'Clean up the goddamn kitchen on your own', we made our way to our bedrooms, hand in hand. By the time we made it to our bedrooms, it was late, so we had to get sleep.
I was sure to make him this promise though.
"Next time, we're both sleeping in your room"
