The life of a family in crisis
Hello Everyone,

I'm reaching out to share something close to my heart. My family is currently facing difficulties that have arisen due to long term child abuse. My son has 3 children, 2 of them have suffered horrific abuse at the hands of their mother and boyfriends. Last year one of the children disclosed to an Emergency Room doctor what had been happening to him and his sibling. The investigations by several agencies in an interstate abuse case has created an increased level of stress we were not prepared for. For the past 16 months we have been living in Motels. He's at a fixed rate due to the VAWA act in our state (Victims Against Women and Children Act). The Sheriff Dept has kept us safe. With that being said my son has used all of his savings and needs assistance to cover these expenses. This is to keep the children safe. He has custody but the medical and legal bills are mounting. Our immediate need is help with housing, As a CDL truck driver medical insurance is high. He was making 300.00 over the income limit to qualify for state and federal assistance for aid. The medical expense for physical therapists, occupational therapist. Speech therapist and socialization group activities, have created a mountain of debt. Even at the reduced rat they are adding with. This debt is one that we will gladly pay. However, We've been encouraged to add this information to our GoFundMe to help cover the costs. My son has transitioned to a local job. He is a trucker. The decrease in pay has hit hard. But the children need him home. He was working 12+ hours a day, 6 days a week. Added to the stress is that his new job will not generate a first pay check until January 5 and that’s training pay only. His first full pay will not be received until January 20th. The burden on one's emotional or mental well-being created by the demands of his on children’s needs has become essential. And they need him physically present. Trauma in any form is extremely personal. Sometimes it feels impossible. His need is to focused on the children. And it feels impossible to do without our continued physical, emotional and spiritual presence. It is necessary for the children to endure and survive the trauma forced upon their young lives. The abuse started for one at 3 years old and the other at 18 months old. So this will be a long term commitment. Child abuse has a lasting effect on everyone. And our gold is to invest considerable time, stability and nurturing love to help them recover.

**Here's What Your Donation Will Fund:**
1. We are at a fixed rate at the Motel, so help with the weekly rent which is $420.00. 2. Covering medical bills for ongoing therapies. 3. Gas to get to doctor’s appointments and work.
For us these are basic living expenses for us.

Every little bit helps, and even if you can't contribute financially, sharing this post would mean the world to us. Here's the link to our GoFundMe page: https://gofund.me/d9655266

The reason this matters so much is that “This will not only provide relief but also hope for a brighter future."

We are immensely grateful for the prayers. For the support and words of encouragement. I feel that we must advocate for those who cannot do it for themselves. So any support, whether through donations or spreading the word will help. Together, we can make a significant difference in the lives of of two vulnerable children who have suffered so much.

Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
