In a world of gods, a group of pilgrims seek out a new god to worship and follow. |
Welcome to a special world, in this world gods are confirmed to be real and there are many of them, each one focusing i their own area. This world is dangerous outside the influence of a god or a goddess's protection so human groups gather within communities protected by a god. All gods specialize in their own area and demands that their followers follow thier doctrine to earn the right of their protection. Some people are happy with their god, others follow their god reluctantly because they have no choice. This story follows a group of pilgims that has abandoned their own protective god, a god of randomness and confusion, to seek out a new one. This is my first story here, so i would appriciate any feedback you may have and feel free to add:) i'll try to check in a least once a day an add a chapter of my own. Rules for worldbuilding: 1. Gods exist, noone should question this in this world. 2. Gods can look like a lot of things, but they will typically look like humans, natrually giant, but can shrink to their followers size, probably wearing some outfit fitting of what they are a god of. 3. Humans, have little to no power to oppose the gods except for leaving their protection. 4. God will demand that their followers worships them and follow their doctrine, but their leniency may differ. 5. Wandering too long outside without a gods protection is a death sentence. The dangers outside is vague, but if you wander out feel free to come up with something. 6. Gods will typically hire priests and/or priestesses, either forced or volunteered, these should live in their gods chapel and serve them as well as perform rituals fitting of their gods doctrine and lead the rest of the community in worship. 7. Despite this being fantasy, the different communities can have roughly reached the modern age in terms of tech with the aid of the gods, barring convinient travel between different gods realms. 8. Gods are powered by peoples worship, if their doctrine is followed, they can create miracles. Rules for chapters: 1. Please keep chapters above 300 characters at least, each chapter should add something 2. If there is an obvious need for a choice chapter, you may ignore the first rule, but you should write out at least one of the choices as a proper chapter immidiatly. 3. Stay on course and respect previous decisions, don't make random left turns that don't fit the story. 4. The initial choice of gods should always have an "others" option, but remember rule 2 5. Have fun, pretty much everything is accepted as a theme for a god or godess |
