Every night becomes a nightmare to me.
Nightmares Become Routine

Bodhisattwa Parekh

They regularly come in every night with the team.

They are my dreams,

Whom I cherished them in teenage and young adulthood.

To fulfil the demands of the career,

I ignore all bliss.

So, the majority of them remained unfulfilled.

The time runs so fast.

Now I'm in old age.

But strengths don't permit to do so.

The time is too brutal.

So, most of those dreams remain unfulfilled.

They come in every night.

And asking for their accountability.

They raise slogans, "We want justice."

I don't have any answers.

So, every night becomes a nightmare to me.

Once I took sleeping pills

To avoid those nightmares.

Despite it, they came and asked.

So, now, I stop to take those poisons.

They come with their demands every night.
