A metaphor with an ambiguous meaning
         I once noticed some flowers on the bank of a river…
 
Do these flowers ever wonder why they exist? They sit there on the river bank, unable to change anything in their surroundings. They are at the complete mercy of the world that they are in. If they can’t change the world around them, what is the point of their existence? They might ask themselves this, wondering why they are forced into this existence where all they can do is sit and watch as the world changes. Little do they know, their very existence is changing things. Bees use the flowers’ pollen to pollinate the surrounding area, and animals use the flowers as food in order to survive. Maybe one day someone sits and admires the flowers, inspiring them to change the world and do what the flowers cannot.
