Shut Inside

There is something blocking my front door
Jammed up tight against the handle
Kicking won’t do it any good
And a scream will wake the neighbors

There was no reason to leave anyways
Content to being trapped in
The door may be sealed tomorrow
That’s fine by me
Everything moves in its own time

I wasn’t meant to go outside today
When the world lets me in, I’ll be ready
To cross the threshold
