Sometimes time changes even the strongest relationships
Truth is finally through
Sunlight's gentle rain
Today I'm not afraid of you
Today I'm not the same

I left my shenanigans
Somewhere in the past
Away from your hurting hands
Not all relationships last

Turns out broken hearts
Lead to trying way too hard
There are so many missing parts
This is just a movie in which I starred

In spite of you I used to laugh
I know I used to be fun
Long ago those memories filed
Because I used to be young

You tell me time changed me
But I know I've had a good run
I now hold onto fond memories
Because I used to be young

I know you may no longer feel
The same as before about me
The evening's shadows are real
I will always love you in my memory
