So far to go, yet darkness falls, And shadows answer when fate calls.
The shadows close, a creeping dread,
The final hour looms ahead.
A ticking clock, a fleeting light,
The world spins on into the night.

Decisions made, my path unsealed,
A chilling purpose now revealed.
The way is long, the burden deep,
Yet through the dark, my course I keep.

All in a rush, my spirit strains,
Against the twisting, knotted chains.
A fatalistic calm descends,
Decisively so, the journey ends.

Not terribly worried, my fears subside,
As whispers on the wind confide.
So far to go, yet darkness falls,
And shadows answer when fate calls.
