Topic: reflecting on this past year.

Beginnings ending again
vanished.
Yesterday’s joys and anguish
become one.
Humanity treadmilling towards an unchanged predestined imminent direction.
Love lifts us above it all.

My interpretation or thoughts …I know ” if you have to explain it,”
The first two lines people like, the next two begin confusion. Joy and anguish solidify into a part of a single memory.
The 5th line gets all the attention because it rattles with doom. It “disconnects” at first read.
But I Am reflecting on this past year. My tv sent me visions of war.
I love anthropology and legends and myths. I heard of a I lost knowledge and lost continents, like Atlantis and Mu . All over the earth there's proof that other civilizations greater than ours today vanished. That fifth sentence is about history repeating itself. And as long as we walk the same path, we will reach the same destination. It's inevitable. People didn't like the word predestined. I could change it to inevitable, It has been in my mind. It was the news and it is a part of my last year. I couldn't leave it like that, hopeless… because in this last year, I also learned about love. My brother and I disagree on everything and always have. He fought in Veit Nam. I protested it. He votes with big oil. I detest oil suckers. But love lifts us above it all. We tolerate each other yes but love is the glue.
