Watching the news
Every day
The Republicans are competing
To see who can be the most cruel

Competing to see who can be
The authoritarian dictator strong man
Who will usher in Christo-fascism
In America

Banishing the left, progressives
Minorities, LGBTQ and non-Christians
To concentration camps or worst

All in the name of Jesus
Whose words they no longer follow
Because Jesus is now considered
Too "woke"

As the gathering storm clouds
Of Christian Nationalism fascism spread across
The last great hope for Democracy

To the thunderous cheers
Of the far right
And their followers

Edged on to engage in violence
Dark talk of civil war 2.0
Spreads across the land.
