Rewrite the stars (Tanaka x Rengoku)

(I don't own Demon slayer or the song they belong to their right owners. I do own Tanaka)

The song starts off with Rengoku talking with Tanaka, the flower sorcerer. Tanaka was skeptical about them being together since the encounter with Scarlett's last oni warrior, and Rengoku tries to reassure him.

It's not a secret I try to hide

So don't keep saying our hands are tied

Rengoku places his hand on Tanaka's hand and sits close to him.

You claim it's not in the cards
And fate is pulling you miles away
And out of a reach from me

So who can stop me if I decide it's on my destiny?

Rengoku then stands up and holds Tanaka's hand calmly smiling.

What if we rewrite the stars?

He then sits back down and looks at Tanaka smiling.

It's up to you, and it's up to me
No one could say what we get to be
So why don't we rewrite the stars?
And maybe the world could be ours, tonight

Tanaka looks to the side and calmly takes his hand from Rengoku.

You think it's easy
You think I don't wanna run to you, yeah
But there are mountains (But there are mountains)
And there are doors that we can't walk through

Tanaka slowly looks up to the sky, his eyes look glossy.

I know you're wondering why
Because we're able to be just you and me within these walls
But when we go outside
You're gonna wake up and see that it was hopeless after all

He turns to face Rengoku. Tanaka looks down and purses his lips

No one can rewrite the stars
How can you say you'll be mine?
Everything keeps us apart
And I'm not the one you were meant to find

When everyone tells us what we can be
And how can we rewrite the stars?
Say that the world can be ours, tonight

Rengoku understand but smiles confidently and starts singing with Tanaka.

All I want is to fly with you
All I want is to fall with you
So just give me all of you

Tanaka still feels uneasy about but Rengoku encourages him.

It feels impossible (It's not impossible)
Is it impossible?
Say that it's possible!

Tanaka feels confident and they both hold each others hand as they stand up, smiling.

Tanaka hug Rengoku, smiling now knowing they can be together.
