An Early Christmas Gift in July!

She'd been wanting Christmas to come and the season it gives to warm the heart.

Not, the balmy, blistering heatwave that hit the country for the past month.

Wishing for COLD weather again!

She passed her thermostat going down the hallway.

Stopping so abruptly she slid deeper into her slippers.

She huffed a time or two...

Then turned the dial to 58*, paused, and shrugged her shoulders.

She trotted off to the kitchen.

You could hear the clamoring of pots and pans echo in the house.

The sweet melody of her JOY rang through the walls.

Digging out the ingredients she would need.

Milk, CHOCOLATE, marshmallows, a cinnamon stick...

Oh, wait, "Where are they?"

"Ahhh, here you are!"

"The best PEPPERMINT sticks you can find, she exclaimed!"

She placed all of the ingredients except the peppermint stick into the pan.

Into her favorite cocoa mug went the peppermint.

It was not too small and not too big, just right, she'd say every time she used it.

Pouring the steaming concoction into her mug over the stick to slowly melt the sweet taste into her mug.

As she sit all curled up on the sofa tucking in her favorite blanket.

To watch the winter seasonal movies she loved.

She heard a EERIE sound above her on the roof.

Saying out loud, "No that can't be?"

When down through the chimney here came Ole Saint Nick.

With his mug in tow!

"Pour me some of that!" he said, as his belly jiggled from laughter.
