A kitten is the finest form of life,
Nothing could be cuter, not even my wife,
They play with phantoms so ghostly,
It is all in fun, at least mostly,
They bound around in a carefree day,
And when they are crossed they have their say.
In tiny, squeaky voices they make their choices,
So we give them tender care,
And they run to where,
There are no dogs around,
While to us they want to say,
Sometimes it is okay,
To find a nice place to stay,
And tell the rest of us to go away.
