the Vampire Great Uncle

We have arrived in Eagle Creek and are meeting this afternoon with my uncle who promises to come clean about the events that have transpired in Eagle Creek this last week. Just to reiterate what we know

Last week my uncle contacted me to confess his role in the mysterious incidents that have been transpiring in Eagle Creek, including the missing hikers. But before he talks to us, he wants to consult with an attorney and wants the Cosmos Institute to pay for it. Can we do that?

Sam,

Tell your uncle we will send our attorney, Salmon Rubinstein. He should be there tomorrow arriving at the Medford, Oregon airport. Meet him there and then have a meeting with your uncle. Tell him he has to come clean. Our attorney can advise him of the legal consequences of his actions and the actions of his father, your great-uncle.

Maria,

Done/We are meeting tomorrow. My great Uncle has gone missing. We will learn everything tomorrow.

There are rumors that your great-uncle might not be human. Can you confirm that?

Maria

We met. Here’s what we know. My great-uncle is not human. He is a vampire. Vampires and werewolves do exist but they are very rare and dying out. My great-uncle abducted the hikers and killed three of them to satisfy his blood lust. He has admitted this to his son before disappearing. The total number of victims is 10,000 over 500 years. My great uncle, like all vampires is extremely long-lived and is over 500 years old. Most of the victims died but a few females he converted to Vampire status.

The vampires are from the planet Sirius and have been living here since the Atlantis colony days 5,000 years ago. My great uncle and his vampire buddies have gone back to Sirius. They discovered a way to open a wormhole to Sirius and another solar system.

He showed the technology to his son, and he Is willing to share that technology with the US Government.

The planet Sirius is planning on invading the Earth, and the fleets will arrive in a few weeks.

Thanks for finding out. We will discuss what to do with the President and the national security council. But until we tell you, you may not share this information with anyone. Your uncle can be given immunity from prosecution if he agrees to testify and share the wormhole technology.

On May 26th, 1897, Bram Stoker's Dracula was published, laying the foundation for the vampire genre.

Stoker's Dracula was a real monster. He wasn't covered in glitter; he didn't act out because of misunderstood childhood trauma; his suave urbanity hid horror and corruption.

Also, like many Victorian novels, Stoker's was written in epistolary form -- i.e. presented as a series of letters. (A wonderful modern reworking of the Dracula story -- The Historian -- mimics this format.)
