Review: ONE LAST BREATH

ONE LAST BREATH [Release Valentine's Day 2023) is a massively intense love story plus long-term character arc couched inside the framework of an insane, inhuman, Dystopia. The two protagonists are eternally in love with each other, in a menage a trois whose third angle is, surprisingly, nicotine. For these two, nicotine is as much love partner as crutch and prop, and inevitably, impossibly destructive. This love story plays out in the face of a new world order where whimsical governmental directives are executed by the nearly faceless and robotic "Jacks." The young man, whose life has carried a surprising amount of tragedy, nevertheless incites a monumentally astonishing twist as his denouement. A very intense novella, emotionally and psychologically, as well as in terms of political philosophy.
