i didn't get to live in but once
~ a memory of the world i didn't get to live in but once ~
        written by ~Minja~

silence
i discovered
lives in your embrace

its house
is made of
angelic face
and arms like those
of cherubs

sending an invitation
for the private party
in clouds
where we can both
push ourselves
of the edge

and see
how long it takes
before we hit the ground

or reach
the cloud nine
in this case

when the universe
in my head
finally decides
to go quiet on me

and let me hear
the sound
the sleep makes
when it's ridden
of worries

and that of a heart
jumping out of chest
without
the parachute

as i lay
in your bed
memorizing every song
your face is
made of

tucking each
in my eyebags
for tomorrow's display

a memory of the world
i didn't get to live in
but once
