No Restrictions The Forest
The forest calls to me.
As a child i’d wonder through the woods, walk barefoot in the stream pretending it was my home and the trees were my home. Id mosey about picking fresh Blueberries and strawberries, walk through the muck at the edge of the pond, enjoying the mud between my toes and watching the little water bugs gracefully gliding across the water, catching frogs and salamanders and small fish, I would imagine I was a woodland fairy born in the wrong time. I grew and grew and as an adult the forest calls my name telling me to come home.
My experiences and feelings of belonging when I’m walking through the enormous wise old trees filled with our history and fallen pieces of mountains covered with moss aged and worn over time, and the over grown tree roots with streams flowing in all directions, flowers and medicinal plants growing in secret beneath the larger plants, etchings of history carved in the stones and vast caves. Peaceful sounds fill the air calling me, my soul yearning to answer the call. There’s no fear no worry no stress no expectations, everything surrounding me filling me with energy, curiosity, tranquility, and a familiar yet unknown magic. I am connected to this wild unknown, forgotten magic, that lives in us all, but as history changed and the world aged most of us have lost the ability to listen, to feel the pull, to appreciate the gift we were all born with, the gift that connects humanity with the world.
As I walk I lightly run my hand along each tree, each bit of moss and great twisted vines embedded with large colorful flowers growing across the bark and stones.
The feeling is so intimate, and enriching, each light touch completely filling my soul with the light burning inside to be free. Feeling the soft mossy ground under my bare feet taking in each moment there’s always something new to explore, hidden paths, life, plants, history, to run through the woods to lose your path and get lost and explore and find a new path new moments new beauty.
I could lay on the forest floor all day just staring in awe at the canopy of trees enclosing the forest as I look up I see vibrant colors of greens and browns, and small splotches of blues and white where the sky try to creep through, birds singing their songs, and the sounds of life pitter pattering through the thick forest.
I forever belong to the forest, its claimed my mind, my soul, and my heart for it too beats to the drums of the people who once lived among this magical forest. To Stand underneath a waterfall or walk up the hidden stairs behind the waterfall to stand above this magical place, And for a short moment imagining that I am apart of it all overlooking the roaring waterfall and a huge gorge filled with green vines, trees growing upside-down and large rock turtles covered in green moss, I Mother Nature, never imagined the world would forget the magic I blessed their world with, the life I gave them, the gifts, flowers, waters, medicines I filled the great forests and wilderness with. They forsake me and my gifts and replaced my beauty with modified, and poisonous replicas, I gave mankind all they needed to live, heal, and prosper, I gave them magic. A now forgotten magic none have found, and all search for, when it laid at their feet for all to receive and use.
Though I never asked, the Forest calls to me, blesses me with the magic and powers inside its tall walls of trees, For those who have to search, will never find. For those who find, never searched.
The magic is inside us all, you can’t search for something if it is the reason we live. The soul, the small light burning inside buried in our fears and lies and false minds, the small light that we hide, the soul we were given when we were born, that is the gift mother nature gave us, a soul and a light to draw us to our true purpose, our true home, and the source of our magic.
The forest calls me, does it call you?
