Review: HAROLD AND THE PURPLE CRAYON

As I am also reading books with an Amethyst or Purple theme for a Goodreads group monthly Challenge, I couldn't miss this children's classic, which I've read multiple times to my children and grandchildren. This simple picture book is great for reading to young ones near bedtime, and it's also an exemplary lesson in imagination. Harold doesn't rely on video games or tv, on books or other people.
HAROLD RELIES ON HIS OWN IMAGINATION AND STAMINA. He goes where he wishes, copes with the consequences, and when he gets in trouble (some of it potentially dangerous), he solves the problem by himself.


Harold is an encouragement to all of us, no matter our age.
