Children are our future. From now until the end of the time, the youngest generation will be the group that inherits the world for better or worse. Now, take a look at this counter for me.

This article was published just over 15 days into 2022. Over 1 and a half thousand babies have been aborted this year alone. Just to compare, As of Dec 10th, 2021, there had been 791,130 Covid-19 deaths in the United States (from the start of the pandemic.) In 2019, there was 706,543 reported abortions. That’s already a close number, but take this into account: California, Maryland, and New Hampshire don’t report abortions to the government. So I took the liberty of averaging the abortions from the other 47 states to add in for those states. While I acknowledge that the final total won’t be completely accurate, it’ll give you an idea. So, 706,543 divided by 47 is 15,032.82, which I’ll round up to 15,033. 15,033 times 3 is approximately 45,098. Feel free to check my math if you’d like. So 706,543 plus that 45,098 is 751,641. What’s the real pandemic here? Because one year’s total of babies aborted is horrifically close to the total of reported Covid deaths for nearly 2
years. That’s sickening. But here’s the thing. People that support abortions up to the time of birth say that it’s not a baby in there. Oh don’t worry, it’s just a cluster of cells, like a tumor. It can’t feel pain and you shouldn’t feel bad about removing it.

But none of that is true.

A baby can start to feel pain 4 weeks into the pregnancy. At 6 weeks the baby responds to touch. At 12 weeks, the baby can smile. How is it not a baby? If left to its natural processes, it will (God willing) become a healthy, living child. So therefore it is a child, in the womb and out. Here’s a similar scenario.

If someone got in a bad wreck and was comatose with a chance of recovery, a doctor couldn’t legally pull the plug. That’s because, potentially, they would recover. If there is a possibility for renewed sentience, it’s not ethical to pull the plug and kill that patient. So if a baby has a possibility for sentience outside the womb, it’s ok to abort it, but if it’s an adult, it's not? That sounds like hypocrisy to me. Let’s look at some other common reasons that abortion supporters have.

Rape and Incest

I acknowledge that both rape and incest are terrible things, and both are morally wrong. In the case of rape, the victim is never to blame, and I understand that. But in 2 surveys taken in 1987 and 2004, only 1% of women indicated that they had been raped as reasoning for their abortion, and less than .5% was due to incest. So the biggest argument for abortions is regarding less than 2% of all abortions. The other reasonings have to do with “Not ready to have a baby” or “would interfere with work”. These are excuses. If you don’t want a kid and really care about your career, you won’t be having sex, or you’ll be at least using protection. Your irresponsibility doesn’t constitute murder.

#BlackLivesMatter

In 2013 and most years since more black babies in New York were aborted than born. According to Politifact:

“ With abortions surpassing live births by nearly 5,000, African American women in the city clearly terminated pregnancies more often than they carried babies to term.”

How can you be for abortion and still scream that Black Lives Matter? Of course, black lives matter, because black people are human beings just like everyone else. But black babies matter, just like all unborn babies matter, and that isn’t up for debate. Think about that. More babies in New York killed than born.

Hypocrisy from the Left

Hillary Clinton, the pro-choice presidential candidate, and wife of Bill Clinton has several quotes about children. Some of these are as follows.

“Giving every child a chance to reach their full potential is the best work anyone can do.”

“Every single child should have the chance to live up to his or her God-given potential.”

“I just think that giving a child a chance and sharing what you have with a child is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself, as well as a child.”

Maybe letting them live would fall under that category?

Types of Abortions and How They Connect to Other Issues

I’ve found that several of my anti-gun friends are also pro-abortion at any time during pregnancy. When I asked them why they could support one but not the other, they all said something to the effect of “guns kill people, so I can’t support them.”

I sometimes wonder if they even hear themselves. Now, I've already done an article on the problems with gun control, but a gun doesn’t kill someone. A person uses a gun as a medium to kill someone, just as a person uses, say, a curette blade to kill someone.

How is one murder but the other isn’t? Did you know that in most cases, if a criminal murders a pregnant woman it counts as two counts of murder? But if a pregnant woman kills her own child it’s ok?

Medical Abortion

The woman visits an abortion clinic or doctor’s office and ingests pills containing Mifepristone (also known as RU-486) at the clinic.
This drug blocks the action of the hormone called “progesterone,” which is naturally produced by the mother’s body to enable the mother to sustain and nourish the pregnancy.
When RU-486 blocks progesterone, the lining of the mother’s uterus breaks down, cutting off blood and nourishment to the baby, who then dies inside the mother’s womb.
Twenty-four to forty-eight hours later, the woman ingests another drug called Misoprostol (also called Cytotec), administered orally or vaginally, which causes contractions and bleeding to expel the baby from the womb.

Induction Abortion

Day 1: To help ensure the baby will be delivered dead and not alive, the abortionist uses a large needle to inject digoxin or potassium chloride through the woman’s abdomen or vagina, targeting the baby’s heart, torso, or head.
When the digoxin takes effect, the lethal dose causes a fatal cardiac arrest, and the baby’s life will end. (Even if the needle misses the baby, digoxin can still kill the baby when released into the amniotic sack, but will usually take longer to kill the child.)
During the same visit, the abortionist inserts multiple laminaria sticks, or sterilized seaweed, to open up the woman’s cervix.
Day 2: The abortionist replaces the laminaria and may perform a second ultrasound to ensure that the baby is dead. If the child is still alive, the abortionist administers a second lethal dose of digoxin or potassium chloride. During this visit, the abortionist may administer labor-inducing drugs.
The woman goes back to where she is staying while her cervix continues to dilate. The woman will usually wait a period of two to four days for her cervix to dilate enough for her to deliver the dead baby.
Day 3 or 4: The woman returns to the clinic to deliver her dead baby. If she goes into labor before she can make it to the abortion clinic in time, she will deliver her baby at home or in a hotel room. During this time, a woman may be advised to sit on a bathroom toilet until the abortionist arrives. If she can make it to the clinic, she will do so during her most heavy and severe contractions and deliver the dead baby.
If the child does not come out whole, the procedure becomes a D&E, or a dilation and evacuation. The abortionist uses clamps and forceps to dismember and remove the baby piece by piece.

Suction Abortion (D&C)

A suction, or aspiration, D&C abortion is performed in-clinic. Prior to the abortion, the woman should receive an exam that includes an ultrasound in order to confirm that she is pregnant and diagnose any complicating factors, such as a tubal, or ectopic, pregnancy.
An abortionist uses metal rods or medication to dilate the woman’s cervix and gain access to the uterus, where the baby resides. The abortionist then inserts a suction catheter to vacuum the child from the womb. The suction machine has a force approximately 10 to 20 times the force of a household vacuum cleaner.
The procedure is completed as the abortionist uses a sharp metal device called a curette to empty the remains of the child from the mother’s uterus.

​D&E

To prepare for a D&E abortion, the abortionist uses laminaria, a form of sterilized seaweed, to open the woman’s cervix 24 to 48 hours before the procedure. The laminaria soaks up liquid from the woman’s body and expands, widening (i.e., dilating) the cervix.
When the woman returns to the abortion clinic, the abortionist may administer anesthesia and further open the cervix using metal dilators and a speculum. The abortionist inserts a large suction catheter into the uterus and turns it on, emptying the amniotic fluid.
After the amniotic fluid is removed, the abortionist uses a sopher clamp — a grasping instrument with rows of sharp “teeth” — to grasp and pull the baby’s arms and legs, tearing the limbs from the child’s body. The abortionist continues to grasp intestines, spine, heart, lungs, and any other limbs or body parts. The most difficult part of the procedure is usually finding, grasping and crushing the baby’s head. After removing pieces of the child’s skull, the abortionist uses a curette to scrape the uterus and remove the placenta and any remaining parts of the baby.
The abortionist then collects all of the baby’s parts and reassembles them to make sure there are two arms, two legs, and that all of the pieces have been removed.

If that image isn’t horrific to you, then I’m afraid there’s no help for you. But if you’ve maintained to this point that it’s ever ok to take a human life, then I ask you to step back and ask yourself:
