Why animals don't talk to humans anymore

The communities seem to have no issues for a long while. Until one faithful night Whisper saw Cindy a very sneaky garden manager tiptoeing from the eastern garden where they lived with an arm full of food in the middle of the night. Oh my goodness this lady was so beloved by many, although Wispher and Brother Bear didn't care for her at all it was always just something about her that seemed dark and evil. He knew there was something up with her from day one and now he had proof well not really and not yet. So now he had to make sure someone else caught her in the act or he would never be believed he knew this. So he made sure that the next three nights Brother Bear was on the night watch with him and around the same time he saw Cindy sneaking from the garden. Nothing happened so the next night he and Brother Bear pretend to fall asleep on their watch. Sure enough about 20 mins. later here came Cindy sneaky as she was she was not too bright. She walked right into the garden and started gathering food. Whisper stopped Brother Bear from calling her out because they needed to find out why she was doing this and who she was working with. They waited then followed her home at a distance and peaked in her cabin window where they saw 3 other men and Brother Wolve and Fox all eating and laughing and talking. They also saw Cindy receive a couple of gold bars from one of the taller, darker men. Why that greedy, selfish, low down dirty woman. They had no idea how low she could go not yet anyway. Why would she do this other than for the payout is this all it was about gold? They were very angry at what they saw but they had to be careful because she was well known in the community, well-liked and she was very well off clearly. What to do they didn't know yet so they decide to call it a night and think on the matter a little more.

In the morning after breakfast, it was decided that they may have to set a trap for her. First, however, they needed more info about what was really going on and all the parties involved. Over the next three weeks, the two did the night shift more often. Finding out that there were at least ten animals and humans involved and not all just from their area. They were meeting and partying well into the night, however, by 4 am everybody stopped and cleared out just like nothing had happened and since the cabin was deep, deep into the woods no one was the wise and their garden was only a shortcut trip through the woods to the west and she was right at the garden, it was less than two miles away if you knew the short cut. If you didn't know the shortcut it was more like six miles away and most didn't know the shortcut.
