I DON'T KNOW WHY MY STUFF IS OLD WHEN I BOUGHT THEM NEW. AND YET, THEY ARE ALL TATTERED |
AS A PAST SERVICE MEMBER ONE RARELY GOES TO THE MARKET OR SHOPPING. EVERYTHING FROM FOOD TO CLOTHING IS BROUGHT TO THEM. HENCE, MANY BASIC NEEDS WERE PROVIDED FOR. AND TOO, AS A POOR STUDENT YOU DON'T HAVE MONEY TO SPARE SO I RARELY SHOPPED FOR GOODS AND USED HAMMYDOWN FURNISHINGS AND CLOTHES. MY STUFF GOES BACK TO MY GRANDMOTHER'S TIME--JUST DISCARDED HER OLD BROKEN LAMP. YES, EVERY 20 YEARS YOU HAVE TO REPLACE YOUR THINGS. AND TOO, MY MOM'S OLD STUFF IS ALSO OLD THAT SHE GAVE ME TO SET UP HOME. ALL AT ONCE, I DIDN'T OWN ANYTHING NEW OR NEWER WHEN I BECAME AN ANTIQUE TOO AT 66 YEARS OLD AND RECENTLY RETIRED. WITH THE INCREASED PRICE OF GROCERIES FOR THE WEEK I THINK I HAVE TO GET CLEVER. YES, IT IS EATING UP MY MONTHLY SAVINGS LEAVING ME WITH LITTLE TO DEAL WITH. HENCE, I HAVE TO SHOP AROUND IF I CAN FIND IT TO BEGIN WITH AS SUPPLIES ARE SLIPPING AWAY. SERVICE USED TO BE BETTER TOO--COSTS GOING UP. BEING AT WITT'S END WITH THE REPLACEMENT OF UPDATING MY BELONGINGS--I SHOP AROUND. WALMART'S GOT ME OUT OF THE DARK WITH NEW LAMPS PURCHASED ONLINE. AND, OVERSTOCKED.COM HAD A DISH SET REPLACEMENT FOR ME THAT WAS TRENDY AND NEW EURO STYLE. I YET HAVE TO STOCK UP ON SOME NEW CHAIRS BUT HAVE ONE THAT I'VE ALREADY PURCHASED AND NEED ANOTHER. IT WAS LUCK TO GET WHAT I RECENTLY PURCHASED AND BE HAPPY WITH IT. NOW BEING ON ANOTHER SAVINGS STREAK FOR ANOTHER MONTH OR SO--I HOPE TO IMPROVE MY LIVING SPACE AND DISCARDING MY OLD FOR NEW. AFTER TIME--YOU JUST GOT TO SHOP! |
