A book about a group of people living alongside us unseen, until the time we come together
William Horwood is a writer I came across as a teenager. He wrote a series of books back then called ‘The Duncton Wood Chronicles.’ Many of his books are based in nature, characters are often animals. This time the characters are little folk, hydden from the world. They can be seen but choose not to be, despite living alongside us; they live much closer to nature.

This book tells of a time when two worlds are destined to come together. Beneath the storyline is a subtle hint to the damage we are causing to the balance of our planet. Despite this underlying message, a beautiful story comes out about accepting those who may be different, because you do not know the important role, they may play in your life. It is sensitively written, his characters come alive in your mind. It is well worth a read, as are his other books.
