happy new year

Happy new year
Hopefully the next one will be covid clear
And we can see our family and friends for a beer
This year really sneaked up from the rear
Like a game hands ,face and space
Can't even lace up to go a walk unless you have a dog

Many people has lost there job
Feel like a spare cog or gear
That use to be an important part of the machine
But now things are done with the minimum staff
It's not a matter to be laughed at

I maybe wasn't working as few years
So people think well he ain't gonna shed no tears
But i wanted to start to look in the new year
Feeling like my life is coming back together
Then another six weeks to wait

As long as we don't meet our fate to early
I ain't ready to see that pearly entrance gat
Or even if i'm for hell with hitler and the boys
I ain't ready feels like im only 10% into a mission
I just got to listen
I don't mind if i don't reach my pension
That was never part of the plan
but man i just want to make a difference

Maybe some day i'll be man enough
To do what i want to do and just do me
But until then i will just wait and see
As much as i want to grab life by the balls
And break through all these walls
And see past the ceiling

Star shopping while hoping i keep on coping
