2020 Review

We are approaching the end of 2020.

People have different names for this year. They have different words to describe this year. Some think it is the “Killer Year”. Others think it is “The Curse of Mankind”. Besides just COVID-19, there have been a lot of other things like chaotic elections, riots because of racial injustice, death of many loved ones and many other issues. 2020 has not been easy. No school, work or even church. Surely, it has been an upside down year. Many have lost loved ones not just to COVID-19 but also to the bad conditions in some parts of the world. There has been a raise in the domestic violence cases. There was also death of people due to limited resources to provide basic needs. Honestly this has been a crazy year.

But there were also some positive results of this crisis. I think because of the lockdown, some families have come closer and known each other better. We have also learnt more about the world and the way it works.
A lot has changed but if you don’t accept change, change might change you.
I know the world will never be the same but we will make it through. Maybe, if we had never seen COVID, we would not be who we are today. We would not know what we know today.
To wrap this all up, after everything that has happened this year, I feel blessed to be here today wishing all of you Happy Holidays.
Please enjoy the holidays but enjoy responsibly. It would be a shame for you to have made it thus far and then get infected at the end of it all.
