Reporter: “How does this song initially make you feel?” Me: “It makes me feel blue”. Reporter: “Can you tell me more about this?” Me: “Sure, you know at first you see people dressed in all blue. It made me feel blue also. A fun blue. Then the music picked up, became louder, clearer. The music is fun too. Reporter: “Describe your first thoughts.” Me: “it was another Christmas song and they are all dressed in blue. It turned out to be an instrumental.” Reporter: “How did this song make you feel?” Me: “like it was more of a instrumental than song.” Reporter: “Tell me how it really made you feel.” Me: “OK” Long pause. “Oh, I have to listen to it again” I said. Reporter: “May we continue?” Me singing: “Shoobop woop woop shoobop” “OK” I told the reporter and we continued. Reporter: “You were going to speak about how this music affects you.” Me: “Oh yes, well it’s very fast beat or high tempo I don’t know the lingo. To be completely honest. It make me feel like I’m going to have a panic attack. It’s a great instrumental, just a little fast for me. Reporter: “I’m sorry to hear that a song has given you feelings of anxiety.” Scratches head “there’s a lot of that anxiety around everywhere you go. Anxiety or everywhere I go, maybe it’s the note pad and pen I come up to them with.” The reporter laughs. Me: “May I ask you something?” Reporter: “sure, you can ask me anything’” Me: “Do fish fart?” Reporter “I don’t know.” Me: “Do you like asking questions? Reporter: “Yes, I like sticking to a topic also.” Me: “Oh OK” tongue hanging out, finger to my lip. I was really thinking here. This reporter stuff is not easy. I then took a deep breath and started over. Me: “what was the most visually striking image you saw?” Reporter: “There you go, that’s a good question. Now I have to go watch the video again. This is my third time. A short while later and the reporter is back. “when Lindsey is dancing in front of the trees.” He told me. Me: “You have a hard job.” Reporter: “Thanks I think.” Me: “I mean it, you have to think up new ways all the time to keep a conversation going forward. That is not easy Sir.” Reporter: “Editing is not fun for me but I get caught up in grammar all the time.” Me: “So somewhere off topic we went again, why don’t you handle the questions now?” Reporter: “Very well then. Would you recommend this song to a friend?” Me: “Not bloody likely.” Reporter: “Oh? Do you not like the song?” Me: “It’s not that, it’s just … there’s so many Christmas songs out there, with a lot more people singing than there are actual songs. Reporter: “Does that bother you?” Me: “No, I just don’t usually send out Christmas songs to my friends. They already have them playing and I don’t ask who is singing the songs.” Reporter: “Well thank you for your time.” Me: “Groovy.” |
