As if a loving couple. Writer's Cramp entry 16OCT20
Repentant rebounds, they kiss and makeup,
Romantic sounds of locked lip upon lip,
Retreating from the brink of a breakup,
Enamored equals in loving courtship.

Caressing soft as a delicate froth,
Entangled they slumber deaf dumb of time,
As weak as a kitten, lax as a sloth,
Decoupled okay, together sublime.

One pleads a show of steady nerves of steel,
While tickling and tweaking sensitive skin,
The other pretends tranquil peace to feel,
Until betrayed by the hint of a grin.

Recounting punchlines as old as the hills,
Lampooning people we see in the news,
Exploring rural bridgeworks and windmills,
Amazing others with the way they shmooze.

On these occasions, a lost track of time,
A non-encrypted perspective they share,
They are two poetic stanzas that rhyme.
A singular complimentary pair.
