A love lost
Preet's gaze went up to the sky, in an effort to hold back the tears and ask to god the only question that she wanted the answer for "Why did he do it?" . The clear sky, and the bright fool moon stared back at her silently, neither of them had changed from how they had looked five years ago, on the night when Saket had gone down on his knees.

The light headlamp of his car parked a few feet away at the tip of the mountain overlooking a beautiful lake, bounced from the diamond embedded on the ring he held in his hands as he popped the question for which Preet had been waiting for so long
"Greet will you marry me , I want to spend the rest of my life with only you"

The deep masculine voice, had every bit of emotion. His deep loving eyes, clearly showing his deep love for Preet. Tears rolled down Preet's eyes as she nodded "Yes Saket, a thousand times yes" kneeling in front of him she hugged him as tightly as she had ever hugged anyone, her gaze turning up to the clear blue sky thanking god for the wonderful gift god had sent to her.

"Preet, I can't do this any more.I am leaving the country,I need to concentrate on my career which will can not happen with all the strings of a relationship. Sorry if this hurts you, hope you understand" Preet stared at the text in disbelief, shock, sorrow, and emotions she could not even define welled up in her heart. Her stomach was knotting up as she held the chair, to make sure she does not fall along with the relationship of her life.
