The carnival comes
Into town with its lights shining
Something carnal comes
Into its own as it hides in the shadows to the left

In contrast to happiness comes the pleasure of evil
As the families stroll in, all smiles, to feast
On the labor of the discarded and depraved

The corrupt souls who steal the hearts of the castaways
Make them dark in their evil ways
Then pick up stakes
Leaving marks discovered too late
