Dark Song Volume 1, Chapter 4

It was currently 12 in the morning and Connor was still awake looking over the video footage of Melody attacking someone.

Connor: "Wow.... What a dick." Connor continues to watch the footage when he hears a knock on the door.

Emiko: "Connor go to sleep."

Connor: "Not yet, I'm busy Emiko." He continues to watch the footage as he dismisses Emiko.

Emiko: "MOTHERFUCKER!" Without warning Emiko busts down Connors door and bursts into his room. "GO TO SLE-.."

Emiko notices that Connor is watching the video of Melody and was surprised as she grabs the phone out of his hands.

Emiko: "I was wondering where my phone went!" Emiko takes a look at her phone screen and decides to delete the video off of her phone while giving Connor a look of worry. "You shouldn't be watching this Connor."

Connor: "I think I SHOULD watch it Emiko. I mean for fucks sake she's my classmate, what if she tries to pull some shit?" Connor says now agitated. "What then?"

Emiko: *sigh* "We will discuss this later with Vance, now go to sleep." She turns away from him and exits his room but not before propping his door up in the doorframe. "I'll properly fix your door later today."

Connor: "Whatever." Connor plops himself into his bed and almost immediately falls asleep.

(8 hours later)

Emiko: "Alright Connor it's time to wake up for school." Emiko walks into Connors room. she notices that Connor was nowhere to be seen. "Where the fuck did he go?" She looks around the house and sees a note on the fridge stating that Connor woke up and left early. "Well I guess I'll see you at school."

Meanwhile Connor was at school alongside Aaron to whom he was speaking with about Melody.

Connor: "So what exactly can you tell me about Melody?"

Aaron: "From what I know about her, she's the darkness elemental and she's a senior." Aaron notices that Connor is serious about the whole Melody situation. "And I also know that she's pretty powerful."

Connor: "So nothing I haven't heard before." He lets out a sigh and shakes his head in disappointment. "Well let me know if you find anything new."

Aaron: "Ok." Aaron says as they walk off and go to class.

When Connor arrives to his class he notices that someone isn't in the room; Melody. Connor takes a seat and scans the room but sees no sign of her.

Connor: "Shit.... That ain't good." He pulls out his phone while scanning the classroom again and texts Emiko to tell her that Melody is nowhere to be seen.

Emiko: "Connor."

Connor: "Holy shit you're here." He looks behind him and is surprised to see Emiko standing in the doorway.

Emiko: "Yeah and I got your text." She motions for him to exit the classroom and informs him of something. "Vance didn't show up to class either and that's not like him."

Connor: "Maybe he's just late again."

Emiko: "I don't think so, he's never this late." She says with a worried tone.

Connor: *sigh* "Ok we will go find him after school."

Meanwhile in town Vance is seen following a very suspicious Melody.

Vance: "Let's see what you're up to."
