The Sleepy Town

Out here you can hear a pin drop. Out here you could scream and no one would hear you. Your senses are heightened and you wait for a sound to hear if anyone is leaving for town. Looking after one another our neighbors always do but only through apps on our phones right now too.

Neighbors are few and far and so it seems that when you cry out doom sets in fearing no one will hear. Not wanting to wake up and cause a noise this is a sleepy town you know where hardly anyone is around.

From living in the suburbs then moving to a quiet town sometimes weighs on my mind. Neighbors talking about neighbors you can hear from afar. Not wanting to arouse anyone you keep quiet and only talk around those who know you.
