The second chapter of King of Monsters.
“It was a busy day.” She told me through the video camera.

It was a happy memory for me. The time I spent with her. Minor moments many might find pointless. To me, it was priceless. This has continued on for a while. Although, this relationship has been going nowhere recently. But for me, the fact that she is there is enough. To me, she is everything.

Suddenly, I feel myself burning up with power. My desire turns into fuel, burning me up and filling me with power.

I open my eyes, and can no longer feel the ghosts pressing down on me. Despite that, I feel numbing pain drowning my entire body.

They all look like they were leaving, probably assuming I am done for.

“What?” I hear the voice talking as I force myself to get up.

“Damn it! Kill him!” He shouts.

The giant is again, the first to move. However, before he can even reached me, I jump onto one of the weaker ghosts standing next to the giant, ripping its face out with my fangs.

I pushed the dissipating body of the ghost into the giant, using it as a smokescreen.

With my presence covered, I sneak around the giant and aim for the other weak one.

The two levitating ghosts fire energy blasts at me, but I keep moving and dodging them.

The other ghost tries to stab me with an energy blade. I twisted my body, suffering a minor cut on my shoulder. I then stab him with my left hand. As he is stunned, I bite his face and rip it out.

I then throw him at the other ghosts. As his dissipating body covers my vision, I continue using my sense of smell to track my opponents.

I sense two energy orbs coming towards me, so I quickly avoid them. I then proceed to avoid the presence of the giant, who is coming towards me as well.

Putting myself at the giant’s flank, I swiftly kick him in the leg.

GROAR

He roars, and tries to throw another swing, which I avoid using the momentum of my kick

The levitating ghosts shoot another two blasts, which I avoid. The giant tries swinging another time, I avoid and land another kick on his leg.

As I avoid a few more attacks, a idea comes to me. I step to the giant’s flank and I move towards him as he throws his swing. Inside, I punch him a few times, not wanting my claws to get stuck like before.

I keep on attacking and avoid his attempts to hit me as I stay close to him.

I can hear one of the ghost cursing as I dominate the giant. I keep on hitting, waiting for my opportunity.

Soon, I sense energies flying towards me, as this happens, the giant’s arms come in on me, ready to crush me, or at least hold me in place.

I duck, and watch as the blasts hit the giant. I then quickly rise up while giving the giant an uppercut.

It stumbles

The two ghosts try firing more blasts. I jump out of the way, taking some distance away from the giant.

I try and increase my distance further. As this happens, the giant closes in on me.

Seeing no other choice, I run towards the giant. As I get closer, I grit my teeth and jump on the giant’s hand, which it swings at me. Using him as a platform, I jump towards one of the levitating ghosts, feeling the giant sink as I do. As I do so, they fire more energy blasts at me.

I rush through the blasts, hurt, but still going. I manage to catch one the ghosts. She tries to struggle , but suffers the same fate as the other ghosts did.

As her body dissipates, I step on it and jump towards the last levitating ghost. As I get close, I try to place my claws through his face. He evades the blow, but I end up tackling him, taking us both to the ground.

As I try to land the finishing blow on the ground, the giant comes at me. I manage to block his attack, but gets pushed back.

As he try to launch his next attack. I jump and push my leg into his chest, where I sense his energy is coming from. As he growls in pain, I retrieve my leg and push my claws into the hole I left on his chest.

I feel something on my hands, something terrifyingly cold and disturbing. It feel wet and squishy, and powerful. I try to crush it, but fail to do so. As the giant moves, I rip it straight out of his chest.

He tries to crush me. I move duck and close on him, feeling the wind from his swing. I place his heart into my mouth, crushing it with my fangs.

As the giant dissipates, I duck and avoid shots from the levitating ghost. Using my posture, I jumped and tackle the ghost, bringing it down from the air.

“NO!”

He shouts in anger. He places his hands on my skull, and I feel my skull being crushed.

RRRR

I growl in pain and back off.

The ghost takes a step back, putting distance between us.

I do a side kick, knocking the ghost back. As I retrieve my leg, I almost fall.

“Why? After everything, am I going to lose here? To… to this creature!”

I look at him as he grumble, his hand over his chest.

I take a deep breath as he charges up another shot. With all my might, I rush him while he fires off another shot.

I feel as if my chest exploded, and a chilly pain grasps tightly onto me like chains. However, I managed to pierce the ghost’s energy source, destroying it.

“You will suffer….” The ghost mutters as he fades from existence.

As I calm down, I start feeling weaker. I feel myself getting significantly colder. Pain starts covering me like a blanket, from head to toe.

I feel the power within me fading. My senses dull, and the darkness covering the mall overwhelms me.

I see my surroundings growing bigger. I look to my hands, seeing the claws and black fur returning to normal human hands.
