Stuck at midnight in an unsafe environment, his car would not move...
THE NIGHT WALKER

"Stop!" The vigilante head ordered Bako and his company. Bako was walking back to his car with a mechanic. His car had broken down after driving in the bad road covered with water due to a heavy downpour of rain.

It's been a pattern for the vigilante group to start their watch from 12am to 5am.

It was past 12am.

Bako had earlier spotted a mechanic's shop illuminated with kerosene lamp, and was lucky to find someone sleeping over. The two were on their way back to the car when they got stopped.

"Good evening sir, my car broke down and I went to get a mechanic to fix it." Bako greeted and explained as the vigilante head approached them.

"Mr Bako, I didn't know it was you, why are you out at this time of the night?" The vigilante head who had recognized the night walker asked. Bako was one of his employers who payed his fees for their services promptly.

"Baba Dauda, yes it's me. My car won't start and I am on my way to my friends bachelor's party." Bako was relieved that it was a familiar person.

As the three men walked towards Bako's car, Baba Dauda dipped his hand into a square shaped, animal skin bag, he retrieved his phone and made a call.

About an hour later, with the help of touch lights from other members of the vigilante group, the mechanic fixed the car.

Bako paid the mechanic generously, he also gave cash as appreciation to the vigilante members. Beaming with smiles he entered into his car and zoomed off, waving at the group.

"Have fun!" Most of them chorused almost at the same time, Baba Dauda waved back with the huge cash gift given to them.
