my (lame) attempt at depressing poetry
Noticed the Hope poem was gone? Well, too perky. Replaced it with this... which.. I actually don't really want to call a poem.. because it's not..to me. I like rhyming poetry so this is just.. a few words or sentences strung together.

Cliche

Stuck in a cliche,
Need to escape,
Like everyone else.

I'm being stolen,
there's nothing left that's me,
what makes you think
'crushed velvet' and 'turquoise feathers'
are any more yours than mine?

this eternal paradox
waiting to be judged but if you knew
then i don't want to be judged (my ego couldn't take it)
Leave me alone but make sure
you stay awhile before you do

stupid words. meaningless
and senseless. glorified
whines. how could I
expect you to understand
when I don't?

you're not that perceptive
or I'm just defensive.

I don't write subtly
it's all on the surface...
I have better things to hide.

It pisses me off that this is the last line,
and the poem still doesn't rhyme.

and it's not even a poem.
