Perplexed or encircled by twilight?
My head spins nonetheless,
I struggle to form thoughts.

What was it you said to me just now?
You surely wasted your breath,
Everything you say falls upon deaf ears.

I’m open to the change,
But I can’t recall why I covet it,
Perhaps just to stop the aching.

As far as I’m aware,
It’s all for myself,
