Swan Song

I'm halfway home, behind a cloud
A lovely, soft, conclusive shroud
The things I thought were only true
Reflect a dark, misleading you

Days of future mourn the past
For fear the final line's been cast
Into the dark, indignant sea
That carves right thru the heart of me

Yet, Sunday's not my greatest day
I ponder all the things they say
And yet the spirits fade away
Beliefs are things that shouldn't stray

Nowhere is a lonely place
Living there a futile chase
And nothing, is just what it seems
The final dark beyond your dreams

And so I must escape this world
And all the pain that it's unfurled
But if we meet where love lives long,
