A poem of acting late in love
A thousand long days dreaming about me and you
A thousand long nights thinking about what we could do
A thousand stars to which I have wished you'll say "Yes"
But after all that, I've found out you already said it to someoneelse.

Regret and heartache,
Followed by remorse and heartbreak,
Hurricane in my mind and earthquake in my heart
As I see my future slowly broken part by part

I look up to the skies in utmost denial
My head spinning round in a downward spiral
Memories pour in like the rains from above
Questioning the reasons on why I fell in love

Is the world fair? Does anyone even care?
That I just lost a stone so precious that its rare.
Is this luck? Or is this really fate?
That I have to crawl through and burn in this shattered state?

I looked for help to get out of this fiery blaze.
As the pain seared through, for hours or maybe days.
Fists clenched, I drew breaths in this landslide of emotion
And my head started to clear as I gained realization

As the storms eventually calmed, I felt the dust descend.
Crossroads of destiny now await me in the end
Should I still pursue you, like I did before
Or should i now begin, to finally let you go?
