What lies hidden?
Who is the other?
Longing to be set free
Probably never to be
She disguises herself so thoroughly
Does she even know?
The places she aches to go?
A place inside lies empty
Of this there is no doubt
Wife and mother she may be
But she’s crying to let the other out
Answers to unasked questions
Lay hidden and suppressed
Is there danger in ignorance?
Or might her true self be expressed?
Courage to tell is so distant
And so she withers
