As I step into the light
I thought I was stuck in darkness,
I thought it was here I would die.
My heart felt doomed by its condition,
A liar dripping, brokenly beating.

But you blew open the doors,
And you swept in to take me away,
And upon the horizon I see it;
Upon the mountain I'm still.

I feel the warmth as the dawn breaks,
I close my eyes in surrender,
And as I step into the light,
I begin to change my mind.
